The facility was so clean and well maintained. It looked like a 4 star hotel! The staff were very friendly and helpful - the breakfast and pool were also great. Will stay again next time I am in the area.

The center of town at Cunha is worth a strolling around to see. There are a few pleasant restaurants and cafes and the indoor artisanal market sells quality, locally produced items. The rural scenery surrounding Cunha is very picturesque and there are several localities worth visiting, including a cervejaria with a great view, a mushroom-focused restaurant also with a beautiful view, a strudel bakery/cafe, and good access to the Mata Atlantica of the Serra da Bocaina.

Really charming and pleasant place, wonderful combination of...

Really charming and pleasant place, wonderful combination of nature and art, with really friendly and attentive locals. The noise emanating from the motorbikes though is a real issue, and do think that the local politicians and the community as a whole should think about that, as it spoils a bit an otherwise quiet environment.

Cunha is a fairly short ride from either SP or Rio, 3 hrs.

Cunha is a fairly short ride from either SP or Rio, 3 hrs. The city is very welcoming and tourist-friendly. Lots of nice places like olive plantations, lavender, etc., as well as fine ceramic artists. Good restaurants. Beautiful sightseeing, clean roads. Cunha is a wonderful city. I plan to go back.

The location in the historical town centre near to the municipal market is convenient and underground parking at the hotel is free. Reception staff are friendly. Rooms are functional with windows facing onto a single internal corridor. The rooms would benefit from having a wardrobe for hanging clothes, bedside lamps, better decoration and a hot water supply to the bathroom sink. The breakfast room is a pleasant space.

This newly renovated/constructed pousada is very well located with respect to the town of Cunha and surrounding touristic attractions. The property is immaculately maintained and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The proud owner is very friendly and helpful and ensured that we enjoyed our stay there. It was a pleasure to relax and socialize around the large pool. Breakfast was a delight and filling.

We enjoyed our stay in Cunha. We were doing a cycling trip and it was our longest day in the bike, so we arrived a bit later than expected and our host was very accommodating - organising water so we can clean our bikes and offering to wash our clothes so we can have fresh ones when we start cycling again. The room was everything we needed and clean. Breakfast was great!

Very brief stay as we had to leave early the next morning and missed the breakfast but the manager was lovely and insisted the children grab some things to take on the road. Very clean and neat, lovely view from the verandah and really wished we could have spent another night here. Walking distance to most things in Cunha. Manager full of useful information.
