It's intimate, tastefully decorated, the breakfast is delicious and homemade by the wonderful Miriam who is the real highlight of the place with her ready smile and 'fairy hands' in the kitchen. The facilities are simple but were very clean. It's walkable to the city centre. The breakfast is served outdoors on a nice pergola and because it is one long table, we got to chat to the other friendly guests.

Tiradentes is a charming, beautiful, and walkable town.
Tiradentes is a charming, beautiful, and walkable town. Cobblestone streets make driving it more difficult, but it is relatively small, and walking allows you to see the beautiful houses and shops. Taking a walking tour (Becos de Tiradentes) was well worth it -- great information about the history of the town and of Brazil.

Slave laid stone rds and mountain path amazing
Little bit difficult to get around with 6 person group.
Yes used bus to close by city.
Thought Train Historical was very expensive
For 6 and return not viable price.
But maybe a walk tour be good in English options
As not seen.
Only local language.

Tiradentes is a very pretty town, and even the new buildings...
Tiradentes is a very pretty town, and even the new buildings conforming to the established style so they don't detract from the historic look of the area. It's not big, but it is interesting with a motor cycle museum and a car museum, plus an old railway station on preserved a narrow gauge railway that runs a steam train from and to São João del Rei on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, hauled by an American locomotive that looks straight out of a western movie. At the other end of the line there's an excellent railway museum. For more sedate travel, you can have a pony and trap ride. This is a town geared for tourism with many pousadas, restaurants, gift shops, artisanal ice cream parlours., and some nice old churches. The local people are very friendly. It's a nice place to spend a couple of days. If you have a car, that's even better as you can use Tiradentes as a base to visit further afield.

THE NATURE IS VERY WELL PRESERVED
FOOD IS VERY GOOD AND THE PRICES TOO.
PEOPLE ARE KIND .
THE SANT'ANA MUSEUM IS AMAZING ETC.....

Great restaurants - all kinds of food.
Great restaurants - all kinds of food. The Walking Tour is a must - the guides take you through the history of this preserved town. Also I highly recommend a local winery - Luiz Porto it offers tastings and a tour of their wine making facility for small groups. The owner or his wife host.

The rooms are very comfortable, the staff are incredibly polite and attentive, the facilities are brilliant. Right in the heart of the town. Breakfast is amazing too and afternoon tea is always a treat. This is the first of many stays in this hotel.

Absolutely fantastic apartment in Tiradentes. Tastefully decorated and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to meet our needs. Close to the historic part of the village but in a quiet area.
