Newer, modern resort, on a very beautiful setting, with excellent service! We had the 3 bedroom villa, which was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Good quality towels and bed linen. Kitchen was very well equiped. When requested, they even gave us a Nespresso coffee machine, as the one in the villa, was a dripping coffee machine. Restaurant has a charming interior and exterior, serves good food and has great service and live entertainment during the weekend. Everyone in the resort was nice and helpful. We will be back!

The staff were all so friendly, professional, and well spoken. The breakfast kitchen was very well run with friendly staff and quality food--especially the cage-free eggs. The suite was perfectly designed. It made a huge difference in comfort that I could open the bedroom window for fresh air. The balcony is a great feature. The suite was spotlessly clean, and there wasn't a hint of chemicals or air fresheners.

Gravenhurst is a lovely little town but keep in mind, that...

Gravenhurst is a lovely little town but keep in mind, that some stores are not open on Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays. The downtown core is losing a lot of their stores, but THE BAKERY off of the main street (Brock St.)has the best honey-dipped doughnuts and the chelseas and cinnamon loaf plus the sourdough bread! Family owned. The Blue Willow Tea House is a wonderful experince too!! Great selection of teas. Reservations are recommended for tea service, but well worth it... We have been to Bethune house and learned so much about this Canadian Doctor ...very knowledgeable staff. Great places for hikes too.

The Boston Pizza was a nice dining place and it is near to waterfront activities. We went to the Torrance Barrens for stargazing, the moon was too bright for star-observing though, the sunset on the waterfront and beavers in the ponds were so cute and surprisingly delightful to watch. The Tree Museum was a good idea, however, the flying bugs in the woods were quite disturbing in the summer. The unexpected antique car show turns out to be a highlight of our short trip during the weekend.

Beautiful town, the Bethune house museum is definitely worth a visit. Very informative. Most places seem to be walkable,park car and go. The Wenonah2 ship was good, BUT it is like touring the fancy cottages. Kind of disappointed that Lake Muskoka is so built up .

Like the city, it has a nice access and activities to the lake. The boat trip to view the fireworks was mediocre. Unlike boat tours in different areas, there was no information or explanation about the area, history etc…it was also hard to view the fireworks the way the boat was located.

Gravenhurst is a beautiful town with great vistas of Lake...

Gravenhurst is a beautiful town with great vistas of Lake Muskoka. We stayed at the Taboo but it was kind of off the beaten track so we didn't get to dine out because it was too far to drive. We were only there for 2 days and unfortunately it rained on one of them so we didn't get to take the cruise. The shops were lovely. Getting around wasn't easy ...the signs were poor for visitors who didn't know the area. I think if we came again we would stay at the Residence because it is closer to the amenities and restaurants.

This hotel is in an excellent location by the side of Lake Muskoka. There is a boardwalk to restaurants and cafes and a steamboat wharf. Locally there are lakeside beaches and Bracebridge which has plenty of shopping outlets. The accommodation is welcoming and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was good and there are options for dining inside and out. The room we stayed in was well stocked with kitchenette facilities. It had a balcony which although it was not a lakeside room had a good view as it was the highest floor.
