The balance price-quality was unbeatable! All clean, the staff were kind at all times, and it was a very comfortable space to stop and recharge energy to continue my road trip around the great lakes! Totally recommended! (It was 15 far from Balm Beach, which was great, too!)

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Arch Steak house, great food!

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Arch Steak house, great food! Had breakfast at Mom's restaurant twice. Also ate at Chuck's Roadhouse which was good! Wandered down the main street (King Street) spent some time by the water. While in the area we had tickets to King's Wharf Theatre in Penetanguishene to a fantastic show (Nashville Music City). Met up with family as well in Midland. Enjoyed our time in the area.

I was there is visit an old friend at The Villa Extended...

I was there is visit an old friend at The Villa Extended Care so my experience of the town of Midland was limited but it looked good. Good crosswalks and a Pita Pit and the King's Inn and the Lawn Bowling made it perfect.

I try to get to Midland at least once a season.

I try to get to Midland at least once a season. Generally to go to The King's Wharf Theatre and any festivals that are going on. Really enjoyed Martyr's Shrine and the museum.. Also enjoyed the festiival during Halloween and the Tall Ships.

We started visiting Midland when our next door neighbours...

We started visiting Midland when our next door neighbours moved to Penetang after retirement. They took us around and we discovered an enjoyable corner of Ontario. Love the marina. Great sunsets over the lake. Nice options for dinner. We specially loved Ariston, the Greek Restaurant in Balm Beach. Real Greek flavours and a lovely environment to enjoy good company and great food.

My visit was for attending the reception for a friend's art...

My visit was for attending the reception for a friend's art exhibition in Midland's Cultural Centre on King Street, which had 2 very impressive art gallery spaces.. We ate in 2 very nice restaurants - Lilly's Italian restaurant on King Street and The Boathouse patio right at the lake. The Tall Ships were in the harbour and there were a lot of family activities at the lake front. I heard that there were a number of cultural events in town. Overall people in town were very friendly and helpful.

This house is really unique due to having most of the original fixtures, woodwork and other elements retained since it was built in the early 1900s (if I have remembered this correctly from what our hosts said). It is a true heritage site. Ross and Ginette were extremely nice and very experienced hosts. The breakfast was superb! Midland is a great location for access to other parts of the Georgian Bay National Park further north. We would definitely return if we are back in there at some point in the future.

The hotel was very clean, staff was exceptional. The room was very nice, lots of room. The pool was very nice as well, not too cold. The hot tub was amazing. The breakfast in the morning was so good! Hot and cold breakfast available and complimentary. Also great location, just around the corner from Walmart and other stores (walking distance) also across the street from a few restaurants.
