Down-to-earth City Bordering Toronto

Mississauga is the site of Toronto Pearson Airport, so many visitors to the Ontario capital pass through without even realising. Once a Toronto suburb on the shores of Lake Ontario, Sauga (as it’s affectionately called) is now a city in its own right, though it’s not immediately obvious where one ends and the other begins.

Both have in common the broad horizon of nothing but water on one side and a skyscraper-dominated skyline on the other. The most iconic structures are the curvy Absolute World towers, said to resemble Marilyn Monroe. Over the road is one of Canada’s largest shopping centres: Square One.

More stores are in Sherway Gardens Mall near Toronto Golf Club, just one of many within Mississauga. There is also a staggering number of parks, including some lining the Credit River which enters the lake by Port Credit historic village, home to lots of cafés, restaurants and bars. Salmon migrate up the river, so fishing is popular.

The fact that this was once agricultural land inspired the design of the civic centre, overlooking the Living Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of Mississauga across Celebration Square.

I enjoyed and I am pleased during my vacation in Mississauga. The enviroment were clean though there is slight traffic due to the construction of the rail roads. Bus drivers were very polite, and the staffs at the bus terminal in square one were very helpful. For sure i want to visit Canada again and again..😂😂😍 Niagara falls is amazing, worthy to visit of all tourist.. I think Mandarin is the best place to eat..

The area we stayed in was convenient for the airport, late arrival and departure. It was quite industrial with many airline or aviation related companies based there. We didn't walk much of the area but did find a few eateries closeby, including an excellent "Keg steakhouse", 5 minutes drive away on Airport Road. As we only had two one night stops, we didn't see all Mississauga had to offer. There are good transport links in the area with a bus stop right outside the hotel and the UP Express train from the airport taking you in to Downtown Toronto.

Mississauga around the airport is...just boring without a car. No parks around airport. Tons of traffic on 401 even late at night. It's out stop and go destination only because we flew out of the Toronto.

The location of the airport for us, taking a flight the next day, was perfect! The hotel itself is lovely and very easy to manage getting to other terminals with skytrain right there! We didn't leave the airport so I can't comment on Mississauga!

Everything was wonderful. The staff, communication, the rooms, like new hotel, I had a late arrival and I booked the shuttle ahead of time and then again upon arriving at the hotel for the next day. I had to stay in Toronto overnight due to my return flight from Cuba. The staff were great and very friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was great as well. There was no restaurant so I had to order in supper from outside which was fine

I really liked the hotel's proximity to the airport, and that it was a bit of an oasis of peace and relaxation right after our 40-hour journey to Toronto. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the lobby restaurant provided a delicious dinner and a sumptuous breakfast. The hotel is located not far from a convenience store and a Tim Horton's - we had everything that we needed in the immediate neighborhood.

Very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast had a good variety and pleasant staff. The hotel is large but well-maintained. The nightly rate is higher than I like but everything in Toronto is expensive. All in all, good value. The free parking is a real bonus. Most hotels around the airport charge daily fees for parking.
