We were only there for 1 night, two days.
We were only there for 1 night, two days. Would like to have been able to spend more time wandering, but the canal in the evening was very pretty. Attended an event at the Conservatory of Music in the lovely and historic Mill Square district. Great reception spaces, and host to musical performances, but also a terrific restaurant and patio, right next door to the Agawa Canyon train tour station.

Glad we came to visit. Also go for an early walk on the boardwalk
Im the afternoon the Beavertails and the icecream is perfect for afternoon walk pn boardwalk and see around

THE SHOGUN ASIAN RESTAURANT IS A MUST TRY. THEY HAVE AN ALL YOU CAN EAT MENU FROM A TABLET. THE VIEWS ARE AWESOME. THE PEOPLE ARE GREAT AND VERY FRIENDLY. THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES TO EAT AND SHOP. NOT TO MENTION CAMPING, FISHING AND HIKING.

A quiet hotel which, for me, is important.
A quiet hotel which, for me, is important. I am usually travelling the next day and a good rest is needed. The breakfast is good. The location is convenient to get back on the road and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed many times here.

Friend and I visited Sault in mid August.
Friend and I visited Sault in mid August. Just to get away for couple days for some nature and shopping. We stayed at Glenview Cottages on Trans Canada Highway, 10 minutes north of the city. We shopped for groceries at Wal Mart, Staples for some ball point pens. A friend stopped by at an outdoor adventure store for a tent cover. I'm sorry, for not remembering the name of the store. Besides cooking our own meals, I've had a craving for soft tacos at Taco Bell; Macdonald's for a muffin and a coffee. All the shopping and eating we've done on Great Northern Road. Our purpose was to discover local hiking trails. So, don't forget to hike decently maintained trails at Glenview Cottages and Camping.

Lots of green space in the Sault to bike and hike (many well groomed trails through beautiful forested lands). I'd also recommend a ride on the Miss Marie (tour boat goes through the locks). The area around the Sault was also beautiful, we took a road trip to Searchmont; the maples were in their glory - changing colours amidst rocky ridges and rivers and lakes.

The hotel and staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were happy to have a Starbucks on-site which made our mornings easier. We were within walking distance of our weekend destination which was great. The in-house bar was nice and our bartender awesome.

Breakfast was great! The hotel was nice and quiet, if it was noisy outside, we sure didn't hear it. Staff were great. We didn't get in until really late, but we called ahead, and the check in staff were wonderful.

We were driving from BC to Toronto. We had our bikes on the back of the car. We were advised to bring them into the hotel for safety overnight.
