The bathrooms on the beach are to small for a larger person,...
The bathrooms on the beach are to small for a larger person, and there aren't any benches in the range rooms. Also, the place was filthy.
There are no bottle containers on the beach, so people just leave them or chuck them beside the garbage.
Parking changes are to high.
We've been coming since I was a child, over 60 years and it has changed to much. Change is good, but not all change. History should be kept as much as possible.

Hidden Gem in Alberta!
Hidden Gem in Alberta! There weren't enough photos on Google to get a sense of how good the place actually is before we travelled. We were suitably surprised by the Excellent beach, a decent amount of sand and grass area to relax, shallow, clean water for all family members to enjoy safely. Great beach town if you wish to try something other than Mountain towns like Banff and Jasper. Would definitely go back.

Beautiful beach and great to walk out so far and not be deep.
Favourite restaurants-
#1 - 2nd Wind. Brewed own beer. Fish burger, balsamic onions and fish burger DELICIOUS!
2 - Bamboo Hut - huge variety of dishes
3 - Sun of a Beach - great calamari dish
4 - Sandcastle Steakhouse - flavourful steak
Go to the MOO for ice cream! Variety ice creams and many more sweet treats.
Delano Nails did an amazing pedicure! Sweet staff; good prices.
Great little shops!
The light house at night is a must see !
Lakeshore Drive is an easy walk and where the beach life happens!

It was freezing with ice on the lake and snowing in late...
It was freezing with ice on the lake and snowing in late April and I had to buy gloves and socks. The location is lovely in summer but spring is iffy and a lot of stores were not open and if I had not had the group event I would have been bored and underwelmed with scenery, a person needs to go in summer to appreciate this place.

Breathtaking views. Wonderful playground. Large washrooms/changing rooms available. Friendly people. Restaurants available nearby with varied menu options. Indoor pool and playground at Nexus center was a great hit for my little ones when it was raining during our stay.

Sylvan Lake is a friendly and beautiful place to visit.
Sylvan Lake is a friendly and beautiful place to visit. The lake is so clear and clean with a nicely developed beach area along side a well developed commercial area. There are boutiques and diners, roof top pubs and ice-cream shops. There is something for everyone.

The hotel location was perfectly situated in town to be within a good walking distance for all the main restaurants and shops. Parking was easily available too. The staff were really helpful with any questions I had (particularly with coins needed for the laundry!) and recommendations in the area. I didn't end up using the gym or pool facilities but appreciated that they were available.

The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. And it’s about a 20 minute walk to the town centre. Staff were very friendly too. Although the first impression from the outside of the hotel is not spectacular, I think this hotel really deserves 3 stars.
