Waterton Park is a beautiful place from which one can hike, explore the national park, and take a boat ride on the lake. One can also walk along the shore right at Waterton Park and enjoy the scenery in a less crowded environment than other parts of the International Peace Park.

Amazing wildlife - we saw bears, deer with fawns, fox in the townsite, marmots. Gorgeous scenery. We loved climbing Bear’s Hump and hiked to Crypt Lake. Walks around the townsite, trip up Red Rock Canyon.

This is one of the best holidays ever. Such a beautiful place to go, so peaceful and surrounded by wildlife and the beauty of nature. Almost everything within walking distance, and so many great places to hike, relax, shop, and eat. Would definitely go again!

If you're into photography and arts, you'd like "Wild Life Art & Gifts" at 301 Windflower Ave; and, "Gust Gallery Fine Arts" on main street down from our favourite restaurant, "Trappers"; and, more rustic atmosphere, go to "Thirsty Bear" kitchen & bar... We were lucky to see new born wildlife - fawns, cubs, bison calves, kit foxes... The wild flowers were all out in bloom, too. In the past, many years ago, I'd go for a day and drive around - before I got into photography. Staying there for a few days gives you a chance to really take it all in and not feel rushed. Enjoy!

Absolutely stunning views, particularly from the Prince of Wales Hotel. Waterton is certainly the "go-to" place for hikers. We had a really nice ice cream at the shop and we loved the little art gallery. We are seniors. The pavement is uneven in a lot of the areas where we walked in town. It might provide a challenge for those with mobility issues.

Beautiful tiny town in a stunning location !

Beautiful tiny town in a stunning location ! Food is expensive in all the restaurants but lots to pick from . Not a spot for little children, more of an adult location . Deer , fox, mountain goats and even a grizzly bear !! We will definitely return there!

The plumbing and utilities were not up to modern standards. The toilet was blocked on arrival and the receptionist handed a plunger in a plastic bag and said “here you go” meaning we had to fix the clogged toilet. Would recommend other hotels given the service when arriving to a room with a clogged toilet.

Clean, comfortable, and well-located hotel. We stayed there for two nights. We really enjoyed the on-site restaurant with the friendly staff. Thanks to this hotel being open in winter (there are very few of them, 2 only?), we were able to enjoy exploring the surrounding area during this time of year.
