Amazing ski town.

Amazing ski town. It is small enough to make it special and large enough to cater all ski needs. I booked ski lessons. It's ski school just turned 100 years old and it is one of the most reputable ones around the area. I got a fantastic experience with one of the instructors and can't wait to be back!

Happen to visit during a time when the snow fall was abundant - mid Feb 2026. It was dumping snow - so my visit to ski was well timed. The overall Crans-Montana village and ski area has a Breckenridge, Colorado type of feel to me - being a visitor and skier from the USA. Crowded at times, and with many families and children during my visit, but I did find some better skiing areas with mostly only adults skiing once I learned the layout of the mountain.

Ok for skiing and mountain biking but not recommended for hiking (numerous paths closed, very steep, signage could be better, crossing paths with downhill mountain bikers too often). There are better options for hiking in Switzerland

Crans-Montana is summer-winter resort. We went for skiing. The views are amazing, the resort has skiing options for all the family but is not very big. Restaurants very cozy but expensive (well, it's Switzerland...). The town is very walkable, you can walk from crans to Montana or hike around the town.

Crans-Montana is a rather large mountain village in the french part of the swiss alps. It offers plenty of accomodation, restaurants, outdoor activities and more than one small lakes. It is most known for hiking, biking, golfing and skiing.

Plastic Disney Land obviously geared for high rolling tourists, judging by the number of boutiques there.... I found it rather charmless as a place, nice countryside around but there are plenty of charming villages set in beautuful countryside....
