The place is extraordinary. In the heart of the valley. Although we booked a smaller room, Adam upgrade us with a better room. Everything was perfect. The room, it was clean, the view from tje balcony breathtaking and the brekfast also perfect. Adam was very kind and helpful. We had also parking in the property, very important if you are travelling by car. For sure we will choose it again and we totally recommend it to everyone!

We had the priviledge of using the Director's suite on the fourth/top floor of the hotel - with unbelievably good views - sofa in sitting room makes into another big bed - we believe there's a kitchen up there too. The hotel does B&B style in the summer with evening dining in the winter for skiers. The smorgasbord for breakfast was extensive - plenty to eat before the day's activities - they bought in some soya milk for me. There's a fridge in reception area with honesty sheet for beers etc taken and supplied by the hotel. A short walk down the road there's the super Italian Da Sina Ristorante - but book to avoid disappointment - lovely staff and great ambience and food cooked fresh to order. The staff are kind and friendly and do their utmost to help you make your stay what you are looking for - rooms cleaned daily, towels checked and replaced if used, everything looks and feels clean - whilst the Jungfrau smiles down on you and the colours of the mountains change from sunrise to sunset - occasionally you become aware of a mountain cow bell. On request a electric taxi will take you and your luggage from the station up to the hotel and on the return. Wengen is car free apart from practical deliveries by electric vehicles - you may even get to see a delivery by the valley helicopter! The hotel also has a library, well equipped games and tv room and another communal lounge - and a free pen! We were there for the annual Mendelssohn Music Festival - and got to meet a number of the professional performers at breakfast! - the Festival is a MUST! WE LOVED EVERY MINUTE !

This is remote location.

This is remote location. Bus could be used for commuting, but car is much better. Skillful car driving is essential, since road leading to location is very narrow and has 1.2 km-long tunnel. Views from Isenfluh are staggering. Location can easily rival Wengen, but is much lesser expensive.

From the main road to the hotel, it's almost 4 km of a single ghat section kind of road with almost a 3 km tunnel. Driving at night and during snow conditions may be very dangerous. However, the road and locale are very scenic. You must have your car to reach and travel from the property. Interlaken is 20 20-minute drive from the property.

Isenfluh is at the top of the mountain, pretty calm, relaxing away from tourists mostly locals. The only thing we didn’t like is there’s only 1 bus that goes up there and they are not always available for exp everyday the last bus that goes up leaves from Lauterbrunnen at 5.35 PM and if you miss the bus you have no other way to go to Isenfluh unless you go all the way back to Interlaken and get a taxi which is expensive so we had to go to the hotel everyday at that time while is there was more option for public transportation we could’ve explored more…

Isenfluh is a tiny farming hamlet - so if you're after pubs, restaurants and nightlife you'd be disappointed. However, it is lovely for what it is. They have a cable car up to the next hamlet, Sulwald which will take up to 8 people or 1 cow!
