I thought the rating of 7 is a bit harsh as I found the hotel to be quite adequate. Yes the property is old, but it is well maintained and clean. Adequate free parking and lovely view of the lake contributed to a pleasant stay. Did not take dinner or breakfast so can’t speak to the food service.

The hotel is in a great location, especially if you're visiting nearby watch manufacturing companies. Besides the hotel's own restaurant, there are some bars, restaurants, pizzerias, and kebab shops within a short walking distance. A pharmacy and a Denner supermarket are right across the street, with larger supermarkets like Migros and Coop also nearby. The train station is close, and there's public parking available. The room and bathroom were spacious and spotless, having been recently renovated along with the elevator. The breakfast was decent.

It was delightful and charming! The breakfast was wonderful. I came late - about 1130 pm or so- and they accommodated me! It was perfect for a one-night stay!

Excellent location with a beautiful view! The room was lovely, with wonderful natural light and a refreshing, modern design. The bathroom was spacious, complete with a wonderful tub. Virginie and Jean-Charles were wonderful hosts — they kindly let us keep our car parked until late afternoon while we went for a bike ride around Lac de Joux. A little slice of paradise, just over an hour from Geneva!

The hotel’s location near the lake offered a truly breathtaking view, easily the highlight of our stay. The room was fine, though it lacked a fridge and the complimentary water was too warm. The bathroom was very small and we noticed an empty beer can left on the balcony floor which detracted from the overall cleanliness. That said, the staff were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our visit. While the accommodations had their flaws, the stunning scenery and warm hospitality made it a decent experience.

The location of the hotel was great, it’s just on the lake. The hotel was empty and open when we arrived. No staff anywhere but our room key was left at reception. Next morning we found the breakfast was set out in the dining area and the hotel had come alive.

It is near a nice lac. The mountain view is the parking view. It's a pity that a lac view room was not attributed despite the hotel being totally empty.
