The location is tucked away from the city life so it was calm, quiet and peaceful, yet very close to the nearby town for amenities. Views of the mountains and fresh snow were great! Will be staying here for our next visit to Interlaken area.

From the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally warm, kind, and friendly—so much so that it felt like he already knew us. His hospitality made us feel instantly at home.
What stood out most was his patience and attentiveness. I had many questions throughout our stay, and he always responded with a smile and clear, thoughtful explanations. His professionalism and kindness made a real difference.
I also want to mention how welcoming the owner was. I had previously stayed here last year without my mother, and the staff were already very friendly and accommodating. However, during this recent visit—with my mother, who wears a hijab—I was genuinely touched to find that they were even more welcoming and respectful. I had some initial concerns that we might feel out of place, but instead, we were treated with the utmost kindness and warmth. It was a beautiful and reassuring experience that made us feel truly seen and respected.
I’m very grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a welcoming and thoughtful environment.

Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking holiday – it is a quiet, charming village with excellent boat and bus connections to Thun and Interlaken. There are several very nice restaurants and bars, some right on the lake with magnificent views.

time restriction to use washing matching n dryer when other guest were using it outside the recommended hr.no information given for entry and host was not picking up call and we all were on midday of the road till 1am. Hot tub was not working coffee pots was not enough.no shampoo or conditioner given. cleanness was not up to the normal stander very disappointing experience with the host

Oberhofen is a great location for trips to the local sights and the beautiful Swiss Mountains. Close to the tourist highlights without the crowds, Swiss mountains, walking trails, boat trips on the lake and sightseeing.

Oberhofen Is an area in the outskirts of the city of Thun and it also is located on the shores of lake Thun. There is nothing particularly good about the place except that if you walk 400m you can sit by the lake in a not so bad of a location in terms of view.

Everything was perfect. The location, the scenery and commodity to places we want to go. We were able to enjoy our trips to the mountains and lakes by staying in Nicole and Marcel’s place. Great people and very clean accommodation. Definitely a hidden gem in Oberhofen.
