Absolutely wonderful! This place was better than I had expected because the staff at Hotel St. George made us feel welcome and at home. They were not only friendly but extremely accommodating. The table in the apartment was small for our needs so they generously offered us use of a conference room with large table. As for the rest, the beds were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was good. I was worried about the street parking, but they told us where we could find a spot for free so no problems there. All in all a perfect stay.

Just a ten minute easy walk from the train station. Facilities were excellent with a wonderful breakfast. French was not a language any of us spoke, and there was only one English speaking member of the staff that we encountered but that made no difference as all were SO friendly and helpful (as was Google translate :) ). Close to restaurants and both COOP & MIgros groceries and the charming old town of Romont is a short but uphill walk away. Bus stop is nearby; note that before the bus takes you to the old town the routing goes "backwards" to a central station where one changes a bus to go back to the old town. Very doable, just research your travel. Romont is a beautiful place with the friendliest of residents. Lots to do--just visit the well equipped (and also friendly staffed) information center near the castle/Vitro Museum. Left many things unseen in Romont, would like to go back.

The room was very quiet with an idyllic view facing pasture and hills. It was clean and had a nice table for working. The host was super friendly and helpful in all possible regards. Moreover, the location of the place is super central. I would definitely book a room in this hotel again.

Beautiful, clean, perfect. Don’t think twice, it’s just perfect for a getaway or to stay while traveling through Switzerland. The service is exceptional, friendly and helpful. The lady even packed me a croissant when I was leaving. The room is super nice. Decor and interior is stunning, modern, but has its original charm. Dyson aircon fan inside to keep it cooler. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. Honestly it’s perfect.

Everything was just wonderful. The hosts were warm, kind and helpful. The apartment is immaculate, very well constructed and cheerful. And it has everything. I mean everything. Fully equipped kitchen, bedding and bath. The hosts really thought to provide everything that you could possibly need.

My second time in Romont and I was as impressed as I was the...

My second time in Romont and I was as impressed as I was the first time. Quiet, natural little town with beautiful views from the city walls. Great stained glass museum and some of the friendliest people in Switzerland. It's a hidden gem.

A quiet town, if you want nightclubs this isn't the place, but has everything most people will need. Trains/buses go from the station down a steep hill from the main street. Romont is a stop on the faster InterRegio SBB trains so getting to/from other parts of Switzerland is easy. Romont has both Coop and Migros/Denners supermarkets. For emergency supplies on Sundays the convenience shop next to the station is a reasonable size. The old walls and tower are worth a look. I spent my days hiking and unfortunately didn't get to the stained glass museum. Gruyeres and the Cailler chocolate factory in Broc short train rides away - I walked off a cheese overdose hiking the fairly short distance from Gruyeres to Broc. A bus ride towards Jaun is worthwhile and the chairlift up the Gastlosen takes you up to some good hiking, and cooler conditions in hot weather. The hike along the leg of the Via Jacobi from Romont to Moudon is an easy 13km but doesn't have much shade so remember the sun screen.
