Arakarí is new, beautiful, and clean, made of local materials using sustainable construction. We felt a sense of calm on the property. You can see a variety of birds (toucans, tanagers, hummingbirds) from the large balcony. Breakfast was healthy, and delicious. Mattress, comforter, and pillows were comfortable. The staff was very helpful, pointing us in the right direction and arranging activities for us — from swimming to a cacao tour, birding, and yoga.

San Carlos is known for it's natural beauty and waterfalls. The hotel was close to all of the waterfalls and in he outskirts of the Town center. It was quiet and the staff were highly professional and sweet. The value was good based on the cost of the hotel.

I loved Marta our host, who was super kind and flexible with our accomodations and requests. Gladis the chef was amazing, her cooking is superb and her customer service is impecable. Adriana who was also part of the staff, was kind and very attentive. This group of women, make such a strong group that it makes worthwhile coming to San Rafael. The experience you get helps you want to stay more time or keep on coming back to them. They are very loving!
