Absolutely everything, the staff, Tania and Juan Sebastian always on top of everything. The hotel is beautiful, they let us make a late check out without any extra charge. The food delicious. Everything was perfect!

Staff are super nice and always make sure you have what you need. Karen at the front desk desk was super nice. I was given a courtesy upgrade which was a really nice treat. The island, the hotel location and the community are just amazing.

Location and the guy in charge is really nice

Wonderful owners and workers. Helpful, proactive, great communication even if my Spanish comprehension was, ahem, lacking. The location is very close to the beach where small boats (lanchas) deliver you to the island. A choice of paid meals were available if desired. Refrigerator access was available for guests. Not a noisy hotel/hostel? immaculately cleaned, the island breezes are refreshing through the windows. My personal favorite was the willingness of the owners to boil me hot water 2X every morning, for my tea. The multiple areas upstairs to relax on the different verandas/balcony in comfortable chairs. The restricted hours of electricity availability were clearly explained. Great bathroom towels and great attached private bath and shower in my room. Fan mounted on room wall to refresh you.

The location is amazing -- you get privacy and serenity away from the town, and the beaches right next to Wiji are the best on the island (especially for sunsets)! The town is only about a 20 minute walk away as well. The facilities, pool, and cabanas were beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay with Esteban and team. We didn’t want to leave. They were so hospitable and kind. We will forever remember our time at Hotel Fuerte Mayal! Gracias.

Great staff, food and beautiful location

Everything felt like a dream! Maria helped us arrange a driver from the airport to the port, as well as a boat trip to the island, and everything ran seamlessly. Maria and her team were waiting for us when our boat arrived and assisted us with our luggage. The island cottage was exquisite, personal, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The staff prepared delicious meals throughout the day and were truly amazing people. Would highly recommend!
