This is one of the best hotels in Sal Rei due to many reasons: very central position (actually, the best one as it is only few steps from the central square and the best restaurants), with very helpful and nice personnel. Moreover, our room had a direct view to the ocean. I can highly suggest this hotel as it is the best compromise for position, service and price.

Our favorite part was the location. We were able to walk into town whenever we wanted, but we still benefited from the amazing facilities. The beautiful pool was probably the reason we booked the space, and it did not disappoint. The staff were also very attentive, friendly, and helpful. By the second day, every lunch, I had a glass of water with lemon waiting for me.

The hostel is located centrally, so it is easy to reach anything. The staff was friendly and helpfull staff assisting with the stay in the hotel in particular and on the island in generall. The hostel is simple, but it has everything you need even towels are included. Very clean. Great value for money!

It is not a very nice place to be or stay, it is a very...

It is not a very nice place to be or stay, it is a very deprived and impoverished area and is very reminiscent of a warzone with how derelict everything is. I enjoyed the food I had from the places I ate out at but that is all I can say was a positive regarding the area I was staying in. I was sold on Cape Verde being a dream holiday getaway with the allure of Boa Vista being an exotic and adventurous place to go, but I was ultimately disappointed and didn't really enjoy what I found and experienced when I got there. The weather was a let down and it was very windy all the time so that made it impossible to sunbath and enjoy any of the beaches as you were constantly blasted by sand, and the sea was always rough and cold so going in for a swim or even a paddle was always off the table too. I'd say Cape Verde overall is an overhyped and overrated destination that is pushed by the tourist industry to generate money but is not worthy of the level of appeal it is given. I have had better and happier holidays at home and I would certainly say you could pick plenty of other holiday destinations across the world that would be significantly more enjoyable and would provide a much more pleasant experience than Cape Verde, therefore I would not recommend anyone even contemplate visiting here.

Beaches and beach bars are nice but it is windy so not suitable for everyone unless into windsports. Water shoes recommended as rocks in the water. Some nice restaurants but you will probably repeat over 2 weeks.

Boa Vista is dirty and under development, I am sure it will be nice when it is finished. If you safely in an hotel I am sure it is fine but for an independent traveller it isn't. I tried to hire a bicycle or scooter through an outfit called Katlantik, who are totally useless and should be avoided like the plague so I had to walk everywhere, luckily it's a small island!. There are beach sports available but they focus on wing foiling and everything else is a bit too much trouble for them, one place did have an old fashioned hobie cat but it was broken (for the last two years) and nobody seemed motivated to get it fixed, they offered wing foiling as an alternative. Most places only accept cash but when I was there none of the ATM machine's worked and getting currency from a bank takes between 30 minutes and two hours. There are some nice restaurants and the sand is lovely. I was asked at the airport if I would recommned friends visit Cape Verde? NO

Great Island to visit in Cabo Verde not as consume by tourism like Santa Maria in Sal. I would recomend for long stays to plan ahead and make sure you have whatever booking of tours, rentals, etc... before hand otherwise you´ll have to improvise. North and South island have great landscapes to visit and the town has some attractions to rest between adventures.

Sal Rei is he Capitaol of Boa Vista Cape Verde. It is a small city on the water. There are many options for hotel and restaurants. It is tropical in temperature so dress accordingly. Expolre all of the food(restaurant) options as there are many. The beach is fantastic

Easy to collect the keys as Markus was waiting for me in front of the building. He's a very kind host and I thank him for being flexible especially on the check-in time. The apartment is very spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need (and maybe more!) to stay in Boa Vista. I really appreciated the balcony with the nice seating area, the layout of the apartment itself and the welcome fruits and drinks offered. Only a couple of minutes walk from Praia Estoril, and very close to shops and restaurants.

Quite difficult as hosts representative didn’t speak English and we do t speak Portuguese. I thought I had paid through booking.com but apparently hadn’t and had to pay in cash local currency which I didn’t have. In addition there was tourist tax (which I had previously paid for three weeks at previous hotel) and cleaning charge not mentioned on booking.com

Very nice apartment with a beautiful view to the ocean. Very close to the second beach of Sal rei which in our opinion is also the nicer. The apartment even had a washing machine with soap and a coffee machine with coffee which was more than enough for our 4 days stay. In less than 5 minutes you get where all restaurants and bars are.

Perfect location just few steps away both from the beach and the main street of Sal Rei. The host was super helpful with all questions we had about the town, places to buy bread or souvenirs. The apartment is very nicely decorated and well equipped for self catering if this is your option.
