Super friendly staff-they had a scavenger hunt for kids to explore the hotel and win some treasures which made the day for our daughter. Lovely breakfast buffet in cozy environment- plenty of choices -you could do you own waffles which was again a hit for our child Parking right in front of the door Amazing view from the terrace over the area and very close to copenhagen Very modern and clean facilities

This hotel is centrally located; however, it was hard to find due to some road construction nearby. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but good. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and Cafés. We ate at one of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed a 10% discount. After dinner, we enjoyed a nice evening walk. There is plenty to see and do in Roskilde. The Viking Ships Museum was the highlight of our short visit. We were thankful for the room upgrade!

It was a beautiful area and a very nice little house that only looked little from the outside. It was bigger inside than I imagined. The shower had plenty of hot water. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The hosts even put fresh eggs from their own chickens on the table for us. We would stay here any time we are in the area.

I know Roskilde as I am danish and have been before.

I know Roskilde as I am danish and have been before. It is absolutely charming and I would have loved more time. Went for a family celebration so didn’t have much time and it was -7C, so cold! The local baker shops were amazing and such a charming walk on the pedestrian street even in the cold. Know the cathedral well and would have loved another visit but no time. The connection to the airport using the train was 30 mins, good and surprisingly cheap.

Whilst it does not have the charm of Helsingor, Roskilde has...

Whilst it does not have the charm of Helsingor, Roskilde has many attractions, especially the cathedral with its many excellent royal tombs, the town square, and the Viking Ships Museum which introduces the visitor not only to these remarkable survivors, but to the entire Viking world.

I've been to Roskilde for the festival every years since...

I've been to Roskilde for the festival every years since 1992 and also as a tourist off-festival. It's a cosy small Danish town with lots of restaurants and pubs + few sightseeing locations like the cathedral and the Viking museum

Such a charming little city with so many historical sites!

Such a charming little city with so many historical sites! We were there for a little over 24 hours and could have done with 1 more day for sure. We visited the fjord, the harbor, the Viking Ship Museum, and took a short walk through the city center on the first evening. For the next half a day, we went to the Ragnarock museum (a must-visit), Roskilde Cathedral (another must-visit), and went on a stroll around the city center. I always check out the Indian food scene at a new place, and we went for lunch at Namaste Roskilde and they didn't disappoint! Overall, a great place for a weekend getaway (for people living close to Denmark).

Great Viking Museum very informative and wonderful location. Lots of Viking ships. Cathedral was very interesting. Park areas well kept. Good selection of shops, cafes, restaurants. Easy train station to Copenhagen. Altogether a good place to visit.

The trip on the 207 bus from Roskilde to the destination was...

The trip on the 207 bus from Roskilde to the destination was a great experience. A short 300 hundred metre walk from the stop was very easy and being away from main roads was wonderfully quiet. A great place to stay! Bicycles were also provided and riding was easy.

The location is close to the railway station which is very convenient. Also, many buses go through the railway station which means that it is easy to move around the city. The room was very good although the bed was small. Breakfast was good and offered various options.

Great location - the centre of Roskilde & only a 30 min train ride to the centre of Copenhagen We appreciated the ‘gifts’ left in the fridge by the previous visitors and have done the same for the next guests - including toilet paper.
