Fabulous place to stay in Pedernales. The room was squeaky clean, and the location was great- on a smaller street so there aren't as many motos roaring by, but close to everything. As other reviewers have said, there's no hot water, but you absolutely will not want it after walking around in Pedernales for 5 minutes. I think I took like five showers a day to refresh myself from sweating so much. A/C was cold, and Amparo was a doll. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent stay. Room was big, clean and comfortable. Easy to find and the staff was excellent, I believe her name was Wendy, she brought a cup of coffee to my sister early morning before our departure. Will definitely book again.

What Guests Said About Pedernales:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 10

Pedernales is a hidden gem.

Pedernales is a hidden gem. Not too far from the Haitian border, which means great diversity of both countries and culture. Many old houses reminiscent of days past along with more modern cement homes. Many wide streets. Quiet by 930p with very few exceptions. The town currently has about 30k people and has all your needs. You look one way and see the embrace of the luscious mountains. Look the other way and witness the beauty of the ocean. Currently, it's a long trek to get to Pedernales. It took us nearly 6 hours driving from Santo Domingo, not including stopping for lunch and admiring a few places along the way. The roads are currently being widened and paved. A new airport is being built! Honestly, I want more traffic to experience paradise but I do not want it's beauty and uniqueness marred by tourism and over-modernisation.

Warm & friendly, very atmospheric from walking through the front doors through to and including the rooms. Comfy and spacious rooms. Breakfast and dinner was freshly made from scratch, super delicious and worth every penny.
