We had a one night stay in this ancient casa in an ancient hilltop village of Ademuz. Driving the narrow streets could be challenge. We found the house easily, called the owner and he came soon to let us in.We parked a short distance from the house on the small plaza in front of the post office. There is also another parking down the hill. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and they spoke English. Our double room was on the third floor. It was smaller and nicely decorated. We had a balcony with a beautiful view over the valley. Casa Garrido is traditionally furnished with rustic charm, but it has all the modern comforts for pleasant stay. Good breakfast choice.

The other reviewers were not wrong -- this place is fantastic. The peaceful location, the quiet setting and responsive staff. I think my favorite part was all the bird songs and nature sounds surrounding the wagon. It was absolutely stunning, I've already recommended it to friends who live in Valencia!

Ademuz is beautiful old Spanish village south of Teruel.Narrow streets and tradtional spanish buildings blend in with the tranquil surroundings to make this a must see village. Stunning views for the top of the hill on which the village is sited. Wish we had more time to sample some of the spectacular walks that you can take around the area.

Ideal starting point for hikes along the crystal-clear...

Ideal starting point for hikes along the crystal-clear waters of the Rio Bohilgues gorge (spectacular flora) to Vallalta, or down the Turia river to Casas Basas. Not a lot to commend the town itself, typical of so many rural Spanish settlements. Overnight stays at Casa Rural Garrido for comfort, Bar Pitoches for range of trad. Spanish dinners (v. popular with locals), Cafe Pasteleria d'Erika for daytime snacks and drinks.

Ademuz is a difficult place to visit with a car.

Ademuz is a difficult place to visit with a car. The streets are very narrow and the turns are tight. Nor are there many places to park. This is also typical of several other nearby towns such as Castielfabib. So it is best to visit this area in cool weather when walking is easier. There is not a lot to see in Ademuz. Hiking seems to be the preferred activity.

Ademuz is a jewel of a village located 40 km south of Teruel.The accommodation itself is full of character as were the hosts Giselle and Sebastian. They were so knowlegable about the region and the village and couldnt do enough to help you out with top drawer advice on walks restaurants etc. Our room was superb and had fabulous views over the valley. Good quality breakfast to round off an excellent stay. We parked for free in the nearby church square which we found was very safe. We will definitely be returning.

This hotel, housing in a very old, magnificent solid building is situated in the old town centre with parking space nearby. I was here 13 years ago and I came back. New, very friendly owners and still the same charming place. The room and bathroom were clean, the home-cooked local food fantastic and the wine lovely. A more than complete breakfast before departure made the whole experience absolutely fine.. I'll be back!

Not the first time here and I'm coming back. I love the area, the nice little town, the hotel and its super-friendly owners. Public parking space is nearby and you can either eat at the hotel or in a good restaurant at walking distance. The rooms are just good and the breakfast is more than ok!
