Casa O'Crego is magical! Instead of going out for a day trip on one of our days there, we stayed in their garden that was designed with love. We spent the day reading and writing and enjoying the view and were filled with so much peace that it still lingers with me over 2 months later. On another day the owner took us for a day trip to the nearby town of Piornedo. Staying in Casa O'Crego feels like you've stepped back into history and are living in an ancient hamlet. The owner learned to cook from professional chefs, and it shows! The meals were delicious. The home was designed with such amazing detail that every time I turned around, I was seeing a new detail. Little Celtic symbols could be found all over. We were in Northern Spain for over a month, traveling from east to west and Casa O'Crego was my favorite spot of all! A true hidden treasure!!! The hosts were charming! We had wonderful conversations with the owner, and when we left, we gave her a shell from Corpus Christi, Texas as a parting gift. We walked away with the best memories. It was just a small token of our appreciation for the gift of Casa O'Crego!

This was the most amazing place we have stayed on the Camino. The property is stunning! Petra our host made us feel at home. She cooked the most delicious 3 course dinner and amazing breakfast. We could relax on the deck chairs and look at the stunning scenery with a glass of wine! All the luxurious touches from the linen sheets to shower products and decor just added to our amazing stay. You MUST stay here. We loved it so much.

The setting is absolutely stunning, with a river running nearby and just a short 2-minute drive to a beautiful town full of friendly residents. We especially loved the unique restaurant shaped like a huge Palloza in the village, a wonderful local touch. The rooms were very clean, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and we enjoyed the fresh air and warm sunshine. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant.
