Great location, close to Bilbao, also wonderful small town feel. Building does not look much from the outside. But room was large, great bath tub/ shower. Clean and not far from Stores Beach and fun little shops and restaurants .

The staff are friendly and helpful to solve issues. The wifi wasn’t working and she spent about 30 minutes trying a booster and then getting someone who could fix it and get it to work.

Fabulous beach and promenade.

Fabulous beach and promenade. A fascinating mix of architecture and the whole gambit of bars,restaurants, shops,places to visit. It had a great vibe and elegance. It's a real hidden gem. Parking on the seafront was the icing on the cake and reasonably priced.

It is a lovely resort.

It is a lovely resort. Clean, tidy with lovely old buildings and park area. Such a great place but still so close to Santander and Bilbao ferries. Ideal for us UK travellers. We will be staying again at the end of the year.

Castro is perfect for an overnight pit stop or a short stay. Picturesque resort, not too “touristy”, pleasant walk along the promenade, looking out to sea, lots of places to get tapas in the old part of town. Can’t fault the place, really!

Lovely sweet town only 40 minutes by car from Centre of town -we used Centaur car hire --excellent great church, castle, lots of piers, so clean many cafes -- we ate in cute Chinese restaurant for a change --cute nice old medieval arch and amazing church !!!!!

Castro Urdiales is a beautiful place to visit and stay. The people there are friendly and helpful In bars/cafes/shops etc where staff are plesent and helpful at all times. The area is very clean and welcoming. There are beautiful walks and interesting places to see. It is very easy to get round the area and buses are plentiful. Eating and drinking is in abundance everywhere. The entire town is walker friendly and very beautiful at night when the Cathedral and Castle are lit up. It features a long prom and a short prom with fantastice views over the ocean. 20 minutes drive from Bilboa. 45 minutes drive from Santander.

Castro Urdiales is one of the most beautiful little towns in the world, in my opinion. It is picturesque, homely and offers a huge array of wonderful bars and restaurants with some of the best pintxos in the north of Spain. Also seagulls!

This hotel is basic, but very clean, with comfortable beds. The room had a kettle and a fridge, and was well-heated in a chilly December. There was no problem with bringing our dog (€5 surcharge) and the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast is included, it's fairly basic, but adequate. Free secure parking is provided, it's 10 minutes walk to the sea, a little more to the centre, and it's only 20 minutes drive to the Bilbao ferry port. What not to like!

The hotel has an excellent location, perfect for exploring the city. The room was spacious and clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The self check-in process was smooth and convenient, though I did miss the personal touch of a warm welcome or some local tips and information. The biggest downside was the noise – the hotel is located right across from a nightclub, which made it quite loud at night.
