Character, charm. The thermal pool use included with room rate were great. We didn’t feel we needed to buy spa packages-the outdoor pools were lovely and relaxing. Staff was helpful. There were good spaces to play cards with family in common area game room. The town was peaceful and quiet. Easy walking to nearby restaurant. We traveled here by bicycle on a cycle tour and they let us store our bicycles in our ground floor hotel rooms but they didn’t have any other safe bike storage areas for the nights there. This was fine with us (and also appreciated).

The thermal spa pools at Campiing Fuente in Banos de Fortuna...

The thermal spa pools at Campiing Fuente in Banos de Fortuna are wonderful. We spent most of our time there and felt better for it. Fortuna town centre has several good cafes but few restaurants for the evenings. There is good hiking locally and caves with ancient cave paintings to see. The area is surrounded by stunning mountains. The best places to eat are Camping Fuente (very reasonably priced food), the Theatre Cafe in Banos de Fortuna, which is interesting to visit too and sometimes has live music, La Barra de Fortuna Restaurante (las Kalendas) which is on an urbanisation between Fortuna town and Banos de Fortuna. You need a car to get around.

Fortuna is in the Murcia region and inland from the coast.

Fortuna is in the Murcia region and inland from the coast. There is nothing particularly significant about the small town but the Banos de Fortuna are well worth a visit. There the actual baths themselves but also you can visit the Camping Fuente site which has even larger thermal pools & a good restaurant. Entry fee 7.50 euros each.

If you want a relaxing stay with a choice of three fantastic...

If you want a relaxing stay with a choice of three fantastic thermal spa areas; the posh hotel and hostel/camping pools of Fortuna, and the larger spa of the hotel in Archena, then a few days in Fortuna will deliver. Both the hotels offer a 3 course lunch (extra cost) at a reasonable price. You could easily spend a day at each location. We did.

The town has a lovely market on Saturday.

The town has a lovely market on Saturday. All the shops and banks are easy to access. Be prepared to eat very late as the restaurants do not open until at least 8.30 in the evenings - not a problem for us. Easy to navigate around. We ate at Bar del Campo twice and could not fault the food or service.

A lovely street market on Saturdays.

A lovely street market on Saturdays. Very varied stalls plus fruit and vegetables. Many cafes and restaurants in the main street. Hotels with Spas very near the town. Typically Spanish town, not like on the Costas.

Wrong time of year to visit much in and around Fortuna was closed. The hotel appears to be understaffed our stay way not enjoyable in fact we left a day early and that's out of a booking of only 3 days. Sorry not for us the advertising painted a picture of a far better higher quality place then was actually provided. If your a caravan owner of this site perhaps good but the hotel is very poor.

Buffet breakfast, typically Spanish and great! The town of Fortuna appears to be very industrial, with construction material production being the main business. It appears to be a relatively new town so not much character and the hotel is situated out of town on a busy main road. Presumably the hotel is to cater for business travellers. Dinner in the terrace restaurant was pretty good. Not so if you are Vegan or Veggie!

We received a very warm welcome on arrival. The property is in a beautiful, peaceful location. All the facilities, en-suite & kitchen area were all brand new and easy to use. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in when away from home. The property is not far from the Fortuna thermal baths which has a good restaurant and hot spring swimming pools.

Lovely staff and beautiful hotel, plenty of on site parking. Rooms were very spacious and spa bath in the room is amazing! There is a great bar and restaurant on site too! Balcony an added bonus!
