Loved the completely peaceful setting - quiet and views of the Picos from my window. Also, the pool is simple yet perfect - and again, with mountain views. The family who runs (and owns?) the hotel is so friendly and warm. If your plan is Fuente De, book here at Jisu! Fuente De looks barren except for the cable car.

I couldn't be happier that we ended up here on one of the shortest days of our Camino. The owner manager greeted to us and made us feel right at home and dispensed great advice about the area and beyond. The room we had was super charming. I only regret we didn't stay a week.

Fuente De is in the best location for exploring the stunning...

Fuente De is in the best location for exploring the stunning Picos de Europa mountains. The views are breathtaking and the hikes at the top (after catching the cable-car) are wonderfully scenic. Even if someone isn't a hiker, the views from the bottom and the top are beautiful. But the many hikes/trails are really worth doing! We travelled in early July and it still wasn't too busy, but we heard that the cable-car queue can get quite long in August. Good weather is important (probably best between May and September) because in rainy weather the mist comes down and obliterates the mountains. Don't give up on hikes though 'cos sometimes the cable-car goes through the mist and the views open up as the day unfolds, so it's worth persevering. The drive to and from Fuente De is a highlight in itself. The narrow winding roads on all sides of the Picos park go through stunning gorges, mountains and forests.

Second time here, having stayed in 2025 on the last leg of our motorbike tour before heading to Santander. Stunning ride up from Potes up the valley. Great rooms, excellent food, stunning views and open but secure parking for the bikes free of charge, which is an rare thing!!!

If visiting Fuente De the cable car is a must (dependant on the weather). We took the cable car up then walked all the way back down, approx. 14km. The views from the top and on the walk down are superb. There is a Hotel with a cafe after about 4km to get drinks and food. The walk is not too strenuous as it's mainly down hill although the last section back to Fuente De through the forest is a bit up and down. Overall a great walk, 9 out of 10.

First time visit to Picos de Europa - which we knew for a...

First time visit to Picos de Europa - which we knew for a long time - give us a very pleasant encounter with a thru mountain type of landscape and scenery. It is very accessible, thanks to its heights and (obviously) with the cable car lifting you to 1800m in a few minutes :-). Though, the weather wasn't that good when we were there - end of april 2024 - with some light snow and quite foggy. You should prepare and dress accordingly, it's still a mountain environment - and be ready to change your plans. Staying at the Parador de Fuente Dé is a good place to start discovering the Picos de Europa.

This hamlet is about 90 mins from the autoroute up some quite challenging but superb mountainous roads. Beware the 3 or 4 roadworks. The hotel is located right next to the cable car which takes just a few minutes' vertiginous ride to the 1800 metre summit. The weather was good and there was no wind. A busy restaurant and hotel at the top. Great views too. A good stop for hikers, bikers and off-roaders; none of which apply to me.

Had a fabulous two night stay. Perfect location for cable car and exploring the area. We were the only guests the first night - the hotel restaurant was closed but they kindly offered to give us dinner which was delicious. Breakfast was fabulous - not included in the price so make sure you check that- best we’ve had in a hotel in Spain. And for anyone interested in cross-stitch, the are literally hundreds of beautiful ones on the walls! Easy parking. Great ambience in the bar

+ Lovely hotel in a picturesque location away from people, right next to the Fuente De cable lift. Oh, that views from the window! + The interior is very cozy and authentic with lots of details. There is a fireplace in the lobby for evening gatherings with wine next to the fire. + The staff is very attentive, always nearby. + Ideal cleanliness, they also tidy up the room during your stay. + Spacious parking.

The location is breathtaking, the hotel and the personnel are top-level, and the parking was so good and convenient for any car. The restaurant is terrific, and they should be on the Michelin tier list!
