Galizano is a village really.
Galizano is a village really. You could walk from the hotel to the beach if fit but there is free parking very near the beach. The beach is usually quiet in the morning. There is a small supermarket open for limited hours in the village. Excellent bakery in the village near the Hotel Vijanera.
The beach is very nice - the parking really helps and it is quite accessible as there is a paved path down to the beach and it is not very steep. There are toilets at the beach and there was a beach bar which was really lovely but I guess only open in the busiest periods and certainly not when the weather isn't so good. We really recommend the burgers and cocktails at the beach bar.
My photo could really confuse people! When the tide is right out this is what it looks like but it can also come right into the bay. There are lifeguards on the beach from 11am to 7pm in summer.

Ideal location just outside Santander easy to catch ferry into city.
Supermarkets were adequate, the two restaurants we tried to get into one refused because there were ten of us, the second catered for us brilliantly

Carolina and her family provided us with an exceptional stay that our kids will talk about for a long time! They loved getting to take care of the animals every morning and play with the toy tractors around the patio all day. We loved the well-renovated, spacious apartments and care that Carolina and her parents showed our family throughout the stay. The location is convenient to our favorite kid-friendly beaches, and the towns of Somo and Galizano.

The hotel is in very beautiful location, quiet and relaxing. The view through the window was so beautiful. Rooms have themes, we stayed in Tom Cruise room, it is funny idea :) Very clean and cosy. The value for money is great in this area.
