Beautiful countryside, with old farms and impressive farmhouses. Lovely church and fabulous restaurant. It is very quiet, and off the beaten track if not on Camino walk. If going, you must stay in Posada Camino del Nortes.

Guemes is just the most lovely tiny town in northern Spain!

Guemes is just the most lovely tiny town in northern Spain! I was walking the Camino and stayed just one night this time but want to come back and spend a week here using it as a hub for cycling in the area. The restaurant at the hotel is top notch, too - the bacaloa de pisto I ate there was simply divine!!!

Spotlessly clean, fabulous shower, Jacuzzi bath in room which was needed after a very long day's walking in the rain. The restaurant food was fabulous and we felt so welcome there. We didn't get to use the pool because of the bad weather but it looked fab.We will definitely be recommending a stay in valle de guemes. Thank you to all
