This place nails the sweet spot between comfort and common sense. Perfectly central, which means everything you need is within a short, lazy walk, grocery store, pier, beach, restaurants, cathedral, and probably the same café you will accidentally visit three times a day. Once you check in, your legs do all the logistics. Family run and it shows in the best way. Friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful. We arrived late and were given clear, idiot proof check in instructions that worked flawlessly. No dramatic key hunts, no late night door staring, just smooth entry and instant relief. Rooms are clean, neat, and refreshingly honest. No frills, no fake luxury, just comfortable beds, a proper bathroom, and the comforting feeling that someone actually cares if the place is tidy. Soundproofing could be better, you might occasionally hear fellow travelers existing, but consider it a reminder that you are not alone in the world. The family also runs a restaurant and apartment rentals, so you can eat well without leaving and even extend your stay if you get too comfortable. Low season free public parking about 200 meters away adds an almost suspicious level of generosity for a central location. Verdict. Warm, practical, quietly charming, and unexpectedly versatile. A hostal that does not try too hard, communicates well, gets the basics right, and even sneaks in a little extra convenience while you are at it.

The room was quite big (after reading comments I did not expect that!), the terrace, the kitchen, the staff, cleanliness, etc - I liked everything. What I was surprised with is the staff's willingness to help: there was a minor issue with the coffee machine that did not affect us at all, we just mentioned that to a staff member, and it was fixed during the night! Same for minor issue with the stove, it was fixed in like 15 minutes. We were also allowed to leave the bag for entire day.

There were a variety of bars/ restaurants within walking distance. With two supermarkets, shopping for goods means you don't have to travel far or use the car. It's a fami!y friendly resort with play areas for children as well as the beach.

We love Port de la Selva because it is low key - not too...

We love Port de la Selva because it is low key - not too many tourist - no posh shops - lots of bays to swim in - good walking - wonderful dolmens Thankyou so much - please do not build more properties.

Lovely location on the sea with good restaurants and very...

Lovely location on the sea with good restaurants and very friendly restaurant staff. All you need is therr incl a Spar and pharmacy. Yoga centre was operating too which would have enjoyed going too. Lots of walks along the miles of coast on good flat paths- beautiful. Very easy to get by car to St Pere Monastry and not long to Cadaques and the Cap de Creus park. Port Lligat and its beach bar plus Dali house were great too and very easy to reach by car.

Àgora Hotel is the budget version from PORTO CHRISTO Hotel and opposite the street. The price is much nicer. The room was equipped with all necessary stuff you need for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was absolute fantastic and will be held in Porto Christo Hotel. As we are pilgrims, we liked the price and the quality of the breakfast. The highlight are the really friendly service staff! Thank you very much.

The hotel is in a good location for the town, a very short walk down to the harbour. The room was clean, and comfortable, which is the most important part of a room! The staff were not about when I arrived, but I was sent clear instructions via WhatsApp before arrival, with where to go to get in, the door code and where to find my key
