A great stay overall, with warm, friendly staff and a very high level of satisfaction. The nearby railway offers a beautiful scenic trip to Lake Núria, and the charming village of Queralbs is close by, where the old stone path leads to another stunning walk up to the lake.

Ribes de Freser is a charming small town in the Spanish Pyrenees. It offers a variety of bars and restaurants, a supermarket, bakeries, and some shops with local specialties. There is a beautiful little church and a pittoresk place with bars directly on the banks of river Ribes. The scenery is characterized by the pre-summits of the Pyrenees, forest and lawns. The village is connected by road to the coast (Ripoll - 20 km, Figueres - 100 km, Barcelona - 120 km) and to Andorra (100 km) but can also be reached by train (from Barcelona). There is a mountain train going up the Nuria valley all the way to the Nuria Eremitage. Plenty of hiking options are available for all who love to enjoy the beautiful nature, including a path to Nuria Eremitage, Taga summit, or the seven waterfalls of Campodevanol.

The best of this little town is that you have peace, quiet and also places to go for dinner, coffee shops and very nice for a little town. Very close to Queralbs and also you have cremallera to go visit Vall de Nuria, really beautifull place. We went in September, nice weather, not to hot, not cold at all. Close to Queralbs, nice to visit, little town.

What a lovely town in the middle of the mountains.
What a lovely town in the middle of the mountains. Easy accessible by train from Barcelona, stops right in the town. Many options for accommodations and mountain treks all around. The river flows through the town so the sweet noise of the flowing water is just so relaxing

Many hiking and running routes cross here, I think it also one of the last stops before Queralbs where you can buy supplies if you are going to hike there.
The town itself is very nice, beautifully set and pleasant to stay at.
There are surprisingly many cafes, bars, wine shops as well as stores selling local food, such as cheese, honey etc. There is also a small, historical cinema that is more than 100 years old, which we have yet to see.
Be prepared that during the week most facilities close at 8 PM.

This is a very special hotel, an old English style country house with antique furnishings, set in a totally peaceful valley with stunning views all around. There are large amounts of comfy communal seating in the lounge, the library, the entrance hall, and the patios. The food was excellent, we booked dinner, bed & breakfast and couldn't fault it. We'd love to come again one day

Large apartment with two bedrooms with comfy beds and a nice view on the garden and the woods. At night, even in summer, it gets quite fresh. The kitchen is well equipped. The garden is fantastic if you have kids or you just want to read a book. The barbecue area is well organized too.
The location is nice, next to the train station, a lovely bakery and a supermarket.

The room was very comfortable, nice bath. I loved the jacuzzi and the restaurant was very good. The staff were kind and helpful and very accommodating to pets. It is very close to the Vall de Nuria train which was great.
