We were extremely impressed. The hotel has just been refurbished so everything was spotless and "shiny" new. It's located in a breathtaking ancient building full of homey corridors, doors, and rooms. The mix of modern aesthetics of the decoration and the classic-romantic background setting creates a very special atmosphere. The romantic-style courtyard with its garden was out-of-this-world charming. Our room was spotless clean, big, well-lit and well-heated. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better, tastier and more plentiful, than at every single major hotel franchise we've stayed at for the last two or three years. We had a really unforgettable experience., Vic was astonishingly beautiful this time of year (autumn) and the hotel felt like home away from home.

The local restaurants were all great, as was the bakery and...

The local restaurants were all great, as was the bakery and meat shops. I recommend the drive or walk to the Hermitage of San Sebastian which overlooks the valley. There is a market on Sat in Kiv, but it is not arts or crafts, just food and bargain items. This city has good train connections to Barcelona. There is an excellent Episcopal musrum and the old quarter is lovely. Buses are somewgat limited and a taxi was not to be found, but we walked a lot and had a car. Also there are some great trails in the area.
