The hotel exists since the 60s (which points to its success) and though upgraded it feels a bit like traveling back in time when staying there, in the best way possible. The rooms are spacious unlike many other more recent hotels. The furniture is of good quality too. Absolutely no noise problems. It is walking distance from the ferry port and walking distance to the city's center.

Definitely worth visiting—a genuinely pleasant experience. That said, one can’t help but feel that in Europe’s smallest metropolis, shops exist mostly to enjoy their time off. We spent five days there; for the first three, everything was completely closed—shops and restaurants. And when the shops finally opened, it was almost as if they were doing us a favour—just a few brief hours, then back to their well-earned rest. Understandably, during the peak summer holiday, the locals are fully entitled to enjoy themselves. Still, if they were out in the open rather than tucked away behind walls, visitors might at least have a chance to share in their joy—or at least catch a glimpse of it.

It was a very cozy and modern city at the same time.

It was a very cozy and modern city at the same time. The last time I was there, was 20 years ago, so many changes had taken place! I recommend the museums, they are worth a visit. Also, the city library is very nice.

It is one if the coziest and most accecible places I’ve been. The city is clean and people are very nice. The most amazing place I’ve visited there was Åland culture musuem. You can try one of the most delicious thai foods in Khun mom restaurant.

Historical sights on the island - almost everything on the island is no more than 30 mins. drive from Mariehamn. The island has a sense of uniqueness and it's very silent and peaceful. Åland is a dream destination for anyone interested in maritime matters. It was pity that all the ancient middle age churches and the Mariehamn church were closed during the day time although many school classes and cruise passengers were in town and on the island. However, these sights are probably easier to visit during the proper summer. Remember to eat the Åland pancakes, available for instance in the oldest wooden house of Åland in Mariehamn.

It is a charming city with kind people.

It is a charming city with kind people. We visited Maxinge shopping center and ate one of the best pizzas in a long time in a Diablo pizzeria, which felt authentically Italian (from one that grew up on Italian) in so many ways. A trip would have been worth it just for it. Many lovely places for charming walks around the city and area.

This the third time we have stayed at Stava Mosters Amira the owner is excellent meeting us at a time convenient to us to show us around the apartment and always making sure we have everything we need . The property is always clean and very well equipped. For the same price as a hotel room you can have lots of space and you can cook for yourself which on Aland will save you a fortune For us there is only one place to stay on Aland and that Stava Mosters

The apartment was great, super cosy, pretty big, with a terrace, and with a lot of light inside the apartment. The amenities were perfect, and the bed was really comfortable, as well as the sofa. Well located, in the center Mariehamn, you have everything at a walking distance. You even have free coffee with a coffee machine dolce gusto and a lot of capsules available, a plus to feel welcome, thanks a lot :)

The hotel and the staff is very nice. We could stay a bit longer in the room, leave luggage and rent bicycles. The rooms are a bit old fashioned (as you can see in the pictures) but everything is very clean. Great breakfast included

Perfect location! 2min walk to the street with all the restaurants and shops of Mariehamn. Super easy and quick check-in and check-out. Daily room cleaning was a nice surprise!
