Just outside St Mere Eglise and the D Day coast.

Just outside St Mere Eglise and the D Day coast. Used the house as our base to visit Bayeax and Falaise plus lots of places associated with landings. We loved the gite which came with ensuite bathrooms for every room We were looking for a rural location but near enough to the town. We ate in the house with the patron chef cooking a great evening meal. You will love his soufle course and cod on veloute with brown shrimps...the wine was good as well Rooms were well furnished and the owner has a comprehensive collection of films if your knowledge of the events of d day is a little rusty.
