Auvers- sur -Oise is a wonderful place where you step back...
Auvers- sur -Oise is a wonderful place where you step back in time and can feel close to Vincent Van Gogh.
People are friendly and it has an oldy world feel about it.
I would recommend a trip there to anyone it is exceptional.

Perfect for all, especially if you like art and local...
Perfect for all, especially if you like art and local history. It had wonderful surprises, good river walks, awesome restaurants, an awesome old bookstore in the old rail carriages, and the most beautifully painted railway underpass we have ever seen.

A few Van Gogh sites and a couple of nice museums, but what we wanted was peace and quiet and good restaurants all within walking distance and we certainly got that! We were there probably more days than most people would want to be.

A beautiful little town if you like spending time in nature...
A beautiful little town if you like spending time in nature and taking walks. We were there for 7 days and wish we had stayed longer. The river Oise is breathtaking and everything else, the fields, the town...We wish that we lived closer so we could visit it more often.

Interesting place that we spent a very short amount of time...
Interesting place that we spent a very short amount of time in - a day is perfectly enough - learning about Van Gogh. Nice walking trail to see the important Van Gogh places of interest….he basically spent the last 2 months of his life here, including ending his life in a restaurant/lodging in the town (which you can visit/eat in but check opening days/times). Castle was closed (we were late!) but pretty enough to look at from the outside. Lots of nice restaurants, including a good Chinese!
