Songes de Vigne is a wonderful B&B! Our host, Alexandra (Alex) was incredibly friendly and helpful and made our visit to this small village truly memorable. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the breakfasts outstanding. Alex made dinner reservations for us each evening and gave us excellent advice about touring the small villages nearby Bagnols. We had a great visit and recommend Songes de Vigne most enthusiastically!

The apartment is in pristine condition, everything looks brand new. It’s very spacious, very bright and has everything one may need and more (even a scale to weigh food!). The location is superb in the tiny and lovely village of Bagnols, across the street from the Marie. One can explore the entire Beaujolais from here. Other pretty villages are very close. Although there is no boulangerie in the village, there is a very good one at 3 km. Parking is usually available across the street. Camille is super friendly and definitely makes you feel very welcome. She was promptly available to answer questions or give directions. She speaks English very well.

Quiet but still enough white noise to make it a great place. White noise are the birds and other animals around , some way in the distant. Great facilities, the pool was very nice. We found a hidden gem that was a perfect stay for us on our travels.

I liked everything ! Steph is nice and esay-going. His house is an old stone house, large and newly redone. There was a spacious bathroom next to the bedroom, a large bed, TV in the room. I could fix myself a dinner using the facilities in the kitchen, and dine on the terrace. It is situated in a very quiet environment, on top of a hill.

The town of Bagnols is very small and quiet.

The town of Bagnols is very small and quiet. We stayed at the Chateau (a must!) and really enjoyed our time there. We used it as a home base to explore the surrounding towns and countryside. It's perfect.

Songes des Vignes is a charming little village surrounded by vineyards. Equally charming, Alexandra our host could not have been more helpful. We arrived on Sunday evening so the local restaurant was closed. She rang a pizzeria in the next town who delivered us a pizza which we ate in Alexandra’s garden (exclusive to guests) in the vineyard with the most amazing views with a bottle of wine that was produced next door! Bliss! We would definitely recommend highly and will certainly come and stay again when travelling through France…

It was stunning, everything was so beautiful and well taken care of. The Castle has been done so well, Everything is perfect, the view is stunning, the rooms so romantic. The restaurant is also beautiful. We were impressed!

The beautifully restored chateau with its honey stonework looks stunning in its setting in the Beaujolais countryside. We enjoyed the 4 course meal in Le 1217 restaurant in the chateau dining room. The outside pool is delightful surrounded by cherry trees. Bagnols village is cute with its own bar restaurant as an alternative dining option.

The pictures do not do the property justice. This is so much more than just a hotel, it is an overall experience. Next time we will definitely stay longer and perhaps enjoy the SPA.
