A city shuttle bus (4 euros, payment at the bus) from the airport that runs every 30 minutes will eventually get you right infront of the hotel. Good place, good facilities for the cost. I was looking for a 1 night airport connection stop, and it did the job pretty well.

Northern Gateway to Paris

Beauvais is a small town located 80 km north of Paris, in the French region of Picardy. Though its ancient origins and quaint atmosphere, the city has only recently become popular due to its airport. The city was inhabited by Gallic tribes, and it was known as Caesaromagus by the Romans. After being destroyed by barbarian attacks, it became the capital of the Belgic tribe of the Bellovaci, and started to being known as Bellovacus. During the next centuries a powerful Catholic clergy emerged, and a fine textile industry was developed.

St Peter’s Cathedral and the National Tapestry Gallery are a must. The 16th-century Episcopal Palace was partly built using ancient Gallic-Roman fortifications. Canada Lake is outside the centre, and offers natural surroundings and water sports facilities.

Such a beautiful, calm and quiet place to visit. So many bars and cafes to visit, lots of shops. You could find whatever you needed. A real gem of a place to see. Great location to visit other places via car or train.

If you are hungry make sure you have lunch before 2:30.

If you are hungry make sure you have lunch before 2:30. After that you are left with getting cakes or grabbing sandwiches to eat outside from a supermarket or bakery. The wee Irish Pub is recommended, but it is small inside with only a few tables. But the Cathedral is outstanding. It is open till 6:15 and I would recommend coming after 5, when it is very quiet and the tour parties there to see its clock have gone.

Transfer from the airport to Beauvais was simple via the local bus and at 1 Euro fantastic. Beauvais had lots of history and the lizard trail told you lots about its history. The Cathedral is well worth a visit. There are a number of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. The local station takes you across to Paris in just over an hour.

In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off, we all...

In the middle of the night the fire alarm went off, we all woke up at the hotel to see what was happening, they told us that someone was smoking in the room but they didn't know from which room so the alarm stayed on for 20 minutes without us knowing where and of course no one could sleep, plus the room wasn't clean at all, there were green insects on the mattress and furniture, and the air conditioning barely worked and was very noisy, in conclusion I don't recommend it and I will never stay there. They also told me to email them my IBAN account for the breakfast refund because I paid them without knowing that I wouldn't get to eat it because I couldn't catch the plane. I sent the details but in fact it wasn't the correct address, they gave me the wrong email address, and there was no one at the reception after 8:00 PM and I left the next day.

Beauvais is a lovely city.

Beauvais is a lovely city. There are nice parks, restaurants, bars and museums. Very easy access to Paris with the train like 1 hour and 30min. straight to Gare du Nord. I would recommend visiting despite the not pleasant experience at the airport.

Large Cathedral, plenty of shopping opportunities both in and out of town. Some very rough area with empty tower blocks and vandalism. Drug dealers openly trading their wares. Would not be happy walking around these areas after dark.

Superb location if you have a morning flight from Beauvais Airport. You literally step out of your train and the hotel is across the road. Note that past 23 PM there is a different check-in experience. Room, bed, and bathroom were great and clean. Receptionist was English-speaking. Bus stop is just near the hotel from the train station side. The first bus is 6 18 AM. Though, you may consider a taxi ride as we had event on the road and our bus reached airport a little bit later than we expected.

Great hotel in the heart of Beauvais, only a few Kilometers to the airport. The restaurant was closed even though it was a sat night but only a few minutes walk we found a fantastic Thai restaurant and had an amazing dinner. The pillows are dreadful and very uncomfortable, such a shame as the bed was very compte, room spotless and otherwise excellent.
