Such a pretty town with a lovely river running through it, with canoes, and other things to do on the river. Superb Cathedral and caves to explore. Lots of good restaurants - a perfect stop for 2-3 days.

Picturesque town. Easy to walk around. Interesting history with the Abbey and the troglodytes Other interesting places close by to visit as well. Bike tracks and canoes. Free parking just near foot bridges to main part of town. Shopkeepers and restaurant staff were all very nice.

One of the prettiest places I have visited.

One of the prettiest places I have visited. It looks like it came out of a fairytale. It was wonderful to walk around the village because everything look so pretty. It’s perfect for slow traveling. The products there didn’t seem overpriced, so we bought a lot of nice souvenirs.

Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season. The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit. The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn. Visit the top floor of the abbey for spectacular views and an insight into the construction of the building. Great central location for touring the area.

Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

The hotel is well situated in the centre of town and our room had a great view over the terrace and the river. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable, but there was no facility for making coffee or tea. The furnishings and decoration to the hotel are faded and tired – it has definitely seen better days. The breakfast was copious with a good choice of food, both Continental and English, on the buffet sideboard.

Pretty much everything. The owners are lovely, very welcoming. There several terraces to use outside the property and a lovely pool. As many have said the bed is very comfortable. You can walk into Brantôme in less than 5 minutes. Very tranquil, loved it, hope to come back.

Amazing location, the mill is beautiful and the staff were very welcoming. The hotel is very clean and rooms were really nice and cosy. Mercifully it had air con with all the hot weather we've been having in France.
