This Hotel was quaint. It was simple with a touch of elegance. The owner is wonderful. She is so pleasant to talk to. She made us feel at home, and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. We needed somewhere to stay before catching the ferry from Cherbourg and having trawled lots of accommodation we chose this property based on its excellent 10/10 rating – and we were not disappointed! From the moment we arrived, we were wowed! The property is located in a quiet little hamlet with just a few other homes – peaceful and tranquil, exactly what we like. The building itself is beautiful, with a mini turret on one side which turned out to house the spiral staircase leading to the bedrooms, lounge, and bathroom. The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and cosy seating space. We were warmly welcomed by the owners. Although they didn’t speak much English and our French is limited, their son – who speaks excellent English – was on hand to help with check-in, which was seamless. Even though we only stayed one night, it felt like a home from home. The house had everything we could possibly need and was absolutely spotless. The beds were very comfortable, the shower was gloriously refreshing after a long travel day, and we were even able to relax with Netflix on the TV. The owners have clearly put so much thought and care into this property – they should be very proud. We couldn’t fault a single thing and would happily stay again if we’re ever in the area. Highly recommended!
