The day before we arrived, I received a text from the owner Olivier with details of the property and asked if we would like dinner. I text Olivier, ten minutes before arrival, as requested and he sent a video of the road to take. He was there on arrival and asked if we would like to use the pool for an hour. We had this to ourselves and it was lovely after a long, hot journey. The room was gorgeous, the bed was extremely comfortable and it was spotless. There was a tassimo machine and kettle in the room. Me and my husband were the only ones for dinner and Olivier and his son had made homemade burgers and the best chips I've ever tasted. Breakfast was a lovely spread with fresh bread, croissants and pain au choc on each table. There is also a sauna onsite and you can book a massage too. An excellent place to chill. The town of Loan is close and there is lots to explore locally.

Clean room and breakfast provided, parking spaces available but directly in front of train. Bed comfortable and room and bathroom very clean. AC good. The manager was very kind and helpful.

The hotel was easy to find and the staff very friendly. In three months of travelling this was my best Value for Money accommodation and Laon was a brilliant and unexpected discovery. I would recommend a visit to the WW1 German War Cemetery - in the context of what happened in the 1930's it is very thought provoking to see young Christian and Jewish soldiers buried side by side and who obviously died as comrades in 1918.

Convenient good value hotel used as a first stop on a trip further into France. Clean and comfortable, and the 7euro extra breakfast was excellent.
