The property doesn't show well. Rooms are damp, floor was poor quality, wasn't clean. Nothing worked in the room like all the lights, hair dryer, towel heater/dryer. Room was made up just before i arrived, no soap container in shower. The rooms on ground floor have a back door which leads out to a grassy area. It was hot and stuffy in my room and I inquired about a fan. I was told, just open back door. When I went to look at opening the door, I noticed some of the lower door frame was missing as if someone had broke into the room. The door would not close and lock either. Only protection was a door chain. Not Good.

We loved it all! Beautiful setting on top of the hill overlooking the cities. Spacious rooms, very comfortable areas to sit around and relax. Our host was a great communicator and easy to reach. I highly recommend a stay in this chateau. Caution: we are bicyclists and the chateau is a robust uphill ride from the river!
