We did not eat at the restaurant as it was a little too fancy for our taste, but did find a great restaurant up the hill called the Trident.

Carry-le-Rouet is a smallish holiday town.
Carry-le-Rouet is a smallish holiday town. It is still 'resort free' so no big resorts. The campsite where we stayed is nicely tucked away under a canopy of trees. There are many restaurants, a lovely marina where you choose from a variety of boat trips. Like with most French towns, there seems to be a lack of public toilets, even in summer. Restaurants have facilities though. you can use the Casino's facilities, but not without ID and not if you are wearing plastic shoes (flip-flops!). We mainly ate at restaurants around the campsite, which is a few kms outside the town. The town is easy to walk around in but not in a heat wave.

The hotel is really nice.
The hotel is really nice. We went in September, so the town was quiet, but perfect for walking and swimming, and a visit into Marseille by train for contrast.
The town is typically French, with most restaurants around the marina, and several independent butchers, bakers, greengrocers, a fishmongers, and a market twice a week.
I can imagine it’s very busy peak season, but was pleasantly peaceful in September.
Also a very helpful tourist office.

A small town, the main attraction is its harbour which you get a wonderful view of here. Some good seafood restaurants and bakeries. We used it as a base to visit the Cote Bleu and Marseille ( a wonderful city) for a few days.

Go to Plage du Cap Rousset, just to the East of Carry le Rouet, which is ideal if you like snorkelling as this is Parc Marin de la Côté Bleue, protected marine reserve. Lots of fish to swim amongst. Also a good indoor/outdoor restaurant. Get here early if you need to park.

A nice little port village with quayside restaurants and good views. The port is not ideal for a family break I would say as the beaches by the port are very small but there may be others round the corner! There's a bracing and interesting seaside walk taking you a couple of kms along the cliffs just above the sea with explanatory boards along the way. It has 2 Casinos - one is a supermarket and the other is a real Casino!

The apartment is quite large and very well equipped for a self catering stay. The bed is firm, but comfortable. The shower is very good with plenty of hot water. WiFi is strong and reliable.
The location was perfect. The centre of Carry-le-Rouet is a 4 minute walk from the apartment with easy access to the coastal path. Opposite the apartment is a small, but well stocked supermarket.
The owners, Laurent and Muriel, are the nicest and most helpful people you could meet. We will certainly return to stay again.

The hotel smells terrible. Room smells terrible and is super dirty. We have payed extra for a private terrace yet the whole hotel as access to it. AC is extremly loud and unefficient
Don't be fooled by the location there is just a close acess to the harbor nothing more
