he restaurant was of a very excellent quality. I would have liked to congratulate the Chef, but because of the crowdedness, this was not possible. Very friendly staff and Price Quality just top. Especially after 3 weeks of St Tropez, although I have to say that they could learn something from the Chef

Chateau de Rigny sits on a 5-hectare park located on the banks of the Saône River. It has a terrace that overlooks the park and the outdoor swimming pool and tennis court.

If your criteria for traveling are to stay in authentic places, at the opposite of banal and impersonal hotels, please put the Chateau de Rigny on your stay-over and vacation plans. We loved it although we only stayed one night on our voyage between Switzerland and Belgium. The place is beautifull even when the weather is cold and drizzling. One is immerged immediately in history dating many centuries. Before dinner we savoured the house apperitif in front of a cosy fireplace in the main salon surrounded with ancient books and hunting trophees. The dinner was excellent in a grandiose room: we felt like royalty. We chose the wild boar and scallops accompained by a nice glass of local wine. No surprise that the restaurant gets high rates. After a good night sleep, we took our breakfast in the winter garden, fully glazed towards the park. The total bill defies any stay we had in other hotels: we would call it democratic! This is a place of dreams. In summer it must be out of this world. As one can guess from this review, we deeply fell in love with the Chateau de Rigny.

This small hotel is in a sleepy village far from the freeway or "route nationale". Very quiet nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We came with our bicycles and loved roaming around leisurely, as the area is only slightly hilly, has a great barge canal to pedal along for miles, and many small villages along the way. The breakfast is a bit messy, and dinner on the premises was not good at all, but we understand staff is lacking currently and I am very sure they did nto have a chef on the premises. But the cafe joining the breakast room is a fun place to hang out. Parking easy. The city of Langres 12 kms away is a marvel to visit for history lovers.

Providing a garden, Chambre indépendante dans le moulin provides accommodations in Pouilly-sur-Vingeanne. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.

Exactly what I was looking for a real French village…… very friendly……clean and tidy……and exceptionally quiet…… probably the best night sleep I’ve had in a long time…… definitely will stay again
