Small studio, but well appointed, and we were even able to cook our own meals due to a special diet requirement. Very close to the tram and local transit. Grocery and coffee shops close by. Nice neighborhood and an excellent responsive and caring host. She even arranged a taxi for us to the airport when we needed it. Five stars absolutely.

Fridge didn’t work and stank of urine.

Fridge didn’t work and stank of urine. Only one socket worked in the entire flat - which was for the washing machine. So I had to get on my hands and knees to move the bin to get access to it to charge my phone. No oven, no grill and no central heating that worked. No Wifi. I had to sleep in outdoor clothes in bed as it was so damp and cold. Stained bed sheets. So much mould in the shower and one shelf available for storage they were unusable. They even had a toilet brush holder with no toilet brush it was that bad. The whole flat smelt bad. Only one wine glass that was deeply cracked so unusable. No cutting knives to prepare food for cooking on a two top hob that didn’t even work. It was so appalling that I called the contact number several times and the response was that the number didn’t exist. I want a full refund it was that appalling. I can’t explain how bad it was. I was a cold unhygienic dump. Dreadful. I look forward to my full refund.

Clamart is a cute little town just outside of Paris.

Clamart is a cute little town just outside of Paris. You can see the Eiffel Tower from some streets in the town. We were only in the town one day to visit friends who live there. There is national park on the edge of the town with lots of walling/running trails. The two big draws to Clamart would be its' proximity to Paris and the park.

The accommodation was very close to Tram T6, which takes you to a Metro station for another trip to the Paris Historic Centre. Some Middle Eastern food stores around may provide you with rather good food. The hotel staff needs courses in receiving people and dealing with them. A smile can hurt nobody! And some knowledge of proper English can help also.

In Clamart you feel an inhabitant rather than a tourist.

In Clamart you feel an inhabitant rather than a tourist. It has all the facilities (restaurants, shops, supermarkets) you would expect. On the one hand it is lively enough, on the other hand it is quiet enough. Clamart has a cosy city centre. It also has some nature nearby (Bois de Meudon). It takes 40 minutes to get to Paris-Montparnasse.

The flat was our central point for Paris and Versailles.

The flat was our central point for Paris and Versailles. We even explored the local bakeries (delicious) and parks (dragon park for the kids) in Clamart. The flat was close to grocery stores if you choose to cook, and the kitchen was equipment with all cooking utensils. We enjoyed our time and would definitely return. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. The flat felt more like a home than a hotel and that made it easy to rest at night.

The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. Fresh orange juice machine and many options to choose. Really good. The room is good and spacious.
