However we got so much more than this great location - we felt we had found a little gem. It was a beautiful hotel. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge area and this helped us to have a very relaxing stay.

Most of the retaurants served similar food, there were several icecream shops. Not really any beach bars. Lots of seaweed on the beach and in the sea. Good place to stay if you are planning on touring the D Day landing beaches and memorials.

The beach is wonderful, long shallow and clean.
The beach is wonderful, long shallow and clean. Ideal for sunbathing and swimming. The town is small but has all the necessities for a self catered holiday. There were plenty of restaurants and a great bar on the promenade for people watching. If you want recent history you are right in the middle of the D-Day landings.

Courseulles-sur-Mer has a unique atmosphere and is especially interesting because of its connection to Juno Beach and the D-Day history. Walking along the landing beaches gives the town a special feeling that history enthusiasts will appreciate. The location is great for exploring Normandy, although parts of the town feel a little worn and could use more investment and upkeep. Still, it remains a pleasant base with plenty of restaurants and easy access to the main historical sites.

Close to the Normandy beaches, which was the reason for our visit to see the Standing with Giants silhouettes. Easy access to supermarket + as we had 2 dogs, there was an English speaking vet nearby to complete the formalities for return to UK.

If you are a history buff, Courseulles is a great location...
If you are a history buff, Courseulles is a great location to explore the main D-Day sites. It is also a good spot for a relaxed family vacation as there are many interesting nature and architectural sites to visit and several excellent trekking trails in the area. As my trip was focused on the 80th D-Day anniversary, I hope to come back and experience the other attractions which Courseulles and the surrounding area offer.

Excellent location, great views from 6th floor, plenty of room for a couple, pretty much everything we needed, ideal for anyone wanting to do Normandy WW2 tours. The local restaurant was excellent, Maison Bleu. Also and very important for us was the private car park had a height limit but it had a gap just perfect to get us through with our top box. We figured that was what it was for and if so, genius and much appreciated

Good sized room in the garden area, short (1 min) walk from the main hotel and restaurant. Free parking, off the road. Restaurant as always very busy, but excellent food and very good service. Left early in the morning to catch ferry so did not sample breakfast.

The entry instructions were good, parking spot easy to access, lift to the 2nd floor. There was everything you needed in the apartment. Near to restaurants and shops. Harbour 10 minute walk, beach 1 minute walk!
