When we entered our room upon arrival there was a funny smell. Immediately the front desk gave us a new room. The hotel itself was roomy and comfortable, well situated. The staff hard working and friendly. The breakfast was unbelievable! There were breads and brioche, croissants and chouquettes, fresh juice, eggs, sausage, pancakes, crepes, fresh fruit, almonds, chia seeds in coco cream — in brief, one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel.

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the...

I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the last 20-odd years but never stayed here until now. It was a superb choice: close to the cycle route, 15 mins from three excellent bakeries and one minute from the promenade. There’s a good choice of restaurants, ice cream parlours, kiosks and bars within 5-6 minutes’ walk and the two towns just a bit further in the other direction. I would recommend the area to anyone: there are activities for the whole family, for beach fans or people looking for cultural days out. It’s worth going just for the food but the scenery is spectacular with some fantastic sunsets. The weather is changeable but all you need is decent clothing. Top tip: visit Boulangerie Bleue in Saint Gilles for superb bread and some interesting desserts!

The apartment was close to everything. The market twice a week a 100 mètres or so from the apartment. Train station very, very close also supermarket and restaurants. Everything you would need in the apartment for your holiday is there.

Nice comfy rooms around a sunny courtyard, excellent communal spaces including a kitchen. Good breakfast, 2 minutes from beach with cafes and restaurants. Nice relaxed atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff.

Great space with everything you need. Bed was super comfy and it was a nice spacious one bedroom cottage. It is located in walking distance to the shops and restaurants (or an easy bike ride)
