A beautiful historic building next to a beautiful church , with private secure parking . Perfect welcome from the staff , nothing was too much trouble , maps, directions and Restuarant recommendations. We were upgraded to a “ deluxe” room. It was absolutely beautiful. We didn’t take breakfast as we wanted to stroll through the town to find a local cafe before our onward journey , however, it did look a lovely setting/ seating area and I am sure it would have been amazing, like everything at this hotel.

Location is great, easy walk to town center. Pool was nice as well, extra points for conditioning which was very nice ( and also not common ) considering the extremely hot weather. Receptionist was very nice and patient ( I speak very little French ) and was accommodating.

With a view of the Palais de Justice, this 18th-century former convent is a 5-minute walk from the town hall. Saint Pierre Cathedral and the covered market can be found within 492 feet of the hotel.

I chose the hotel for it's ease of access to the motorway heading south. The hotel was comfortable and undergoing some renovations, so not quite as good as it looked on the website.

The manager (owner?) was really nice, friendly and helpful. The room was basic but huge and spotless. The breakfast was generous. Great views at the back.

This hotel is located in the center of Angouleme, 1300 ft from the SNCF train station and 1000 ft from the pedestrian streets of Old Angouleme.
