We stayed two nights at Le Relais Du Roy and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, with its own parking and right next to the shuttle bus that takes you to Mont Saint Michel. You can also walk to the Mont if you prefer, as it’s a very reasonable distance. The reception staff was extremely kind and helpful, offering us plenty of useful information to make the most of our visit. A very convenient and welcoming place to stay when exploring Mont Saint Michel.

Watching the sunrise and walking the Grande Rue early, going up to the Abbey at 0900 the best. Sunset, and watching the tide go in and out over 2 days and the quicksand tour. Oh and the omelette was awesome.

Sacred space I feel blessed to have visited!!! This hotel was perfectly located and easy to find upon our arrival. We had a room that looked out on to the ramparts… quite wonderful!!! Thrilled that we stayed overnight and had quiet time walking up to the Abbey and experiencing both the tide going out and coming in. if you’re planning to visit, stay overnight to have the complete experience!!!

Le Mont Saint Michel is a truly beautiful mediaeval town. It is, however, completely spoilt by the hoards upon hoards of tourists - and I wasn't there in high season. Obviously, I was there as a tourist, so I hardly expected to have the place to myself, but for most of the one, short day I spent there (and that really is enough - there's not enough to occupy you for longer), it was like trying to get to the main stage at Glastonbury for the headline act. Since I stopped commuting on the London Underground in the rush hour, I've not been so crushed by so many people. If I'd known quite how bad it would be, I'd have gone in the middle of winter. It is also not for the faint hearted, although that should be obvious from the photos. The hills are very steep and there are an awful lot of steps.

Beautiful place to visit and truly magical. Be sure to make a dinner reservation if you will be needing it. There were long lines and unhappy people waiting when we were visiting in May. Staying overnight gave us an opportunity to see it with few people because it is busy during open hours. Be sure to book a room with a view if staying overnight.

The room, inspite of my ask, was given to me at the highest...

The room, inspite of my ask, was given to me at the highest floor. There was no water in the room after 10.00PM. There was hair in the bath tub. They told me they will provide a fan but did not. The telephone did not work for me to call the reception. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences of my life to where I left a day early. I have a stop on the charges paid via my credit card and I believe I should not pay for the 2nd day at the minimum or the whole stay ideally

I am glad to stay overnight rather than taking a day trip...

I am glad to stay overnight rather than taking a day trip there. In the evening, after the majority of the visitors left, as well as in the morning before the train of visitors arrived, I can walk around and enjoyed the surrounding with ease. Spending only a few hours here with walls of people around will be such a waste.

The hotel is right near the cemetery, was unclean and and unpleasant smell. The most difficult part is finding the reception, has to walk in one of their restaurant, it was not opened when we have to check out( we did not have to pay anything so we left the key in the door) , has to remember paying the bill the day before otherwise they will charge one more night for that. It is a little too hard for any overseas traveller without understanding French, so recommend to stay hotels near the island( use free shuttle bus or lovely to walk).

Very welcoming receptionist, property very well situated for visiting Mont St Michel and on site parking a definite bonus (even though you have to pay to enter the area of Mont St Michel). Room at back of hotel was sunny and had small balcony. Breakfast was very good, disappointed that their restaurant and bar was closed but the receptionist kindly reserved an evening meal for us at a nearby restaurant.

Exclusive location to visit Le Mont Saint Michel, near the shuttle bus stop to Le Mont Saint Michel. Two restaurants and shops just in front and beside the hotel. The room (ours was a superior room) is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean. Staff is kind and gives any information you may need to visit the abbey and have dinner in the restaurants nearby
