Beautiful accomodations in a small French village. We had visited the Azincourt 1415 museum nearby. Secure gated place (not that the neighborhood seemed unsafe anyway...it is a farming village). They also have an excellent gourmet restaurant where they serve both breakfast and dinner.

Located 1312 feet from the Somme River, Auberge du Gros Tilleul is set in a house from the 19th century.

We could not have wished for a better stay at the end of our vacation. Alexia and Adrien were wonderfully warm and kind hosts, who make guests feel at home. We loved the very generous and relaxing breakfast each morning around the large dining table, chatting with other guests (there were also a couple of smaller tables available). We also made use of a very comfortable guest lounge, with guides and other books. The chateau, furnishings and design are stunning! Our bedroom (and adjoining bathroom) was one of the best we have stayed in, with a very comfortable bed. We were also encouraged to share the large and beautiful garden, where we had a welcome drink from Alexia. The chateau is very well located for travel to/from Calais, and there is plenty to do in the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Le Touquet. Excellent suggestions for restaurants from Alexia. Charming boutique hotel with equally charming host. The family room we booked exceeded our expectations in every way, it was like a luxury suite but priced and appointed to cater for a large family - perfect! The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and it is located in a very convenient place, near to Calais. Breakfast was generous, tasty and served in a beautiful dining room. Ample secure parking on site behind locked gates, ideal if you have bikes etc on the car.

The owners were very friendly and showed us around the farm. The room was very clean, with an immaculate modern bathroom. The setting is quiet and peaceful, and we had a very good meal at a local brasserie.
