Loved the location - I don’t think there could be a more suitable spot for someone traveling by train and bus to and from Le Mont. i enjoyed a wonderful breakfast - great bar - thank you again Messr Philippe - and just superb inside and out. We stayed for two nights and found the property to be conveniently located, only about 4 km from the Mont Saint-Michel parking area. The apartment offers private parking directly in front of the entrance, which was very convenient. The check-in process was straightforward, and the host provided clear and easy-to-follow instructions.The kitchenette was adequately equipped for preparing simple meals and included sufficient utensils as well as a small freezer.
However, there are several areas that could be improved. We visited during the summer, and the apartment became quite warm. Ventilation was limited, and leaving the door open at night was not a practical option, as the property is located on a main road and next to horse stables, resulting in noise and concerns about flies and insects. A fan was provided, but it was not functioning properly and would benefit from being replaced.The front entrance door also felt rather basic and could be upgraded to improve comfort and security. Considering these issues, we did not feel the accommodation offered the best value for money compared with other options in the area.
Overall, the location is convenient for visiting Mont Saint-Michel, but improvements to ventilation, comfort, and facilities would significantly enhance the guest experience.

We only stayed for one night to sight see but the atmosphere of the stay was so much better than just a normal hotel we got to see the animals have a nice walk around and just hang out outside in the fresh air

Would have planned differently if knew that train tickets were almost all sold out for Labour Day long weekend and train schedule are fewer than week days. May be better to drive a car to visit surrounding town of Dinard and Etretat

The town of Portonson is the gateway to visit Le Mont St.
The town of Portonson is the gateway to visit Le Mont St. Michel, especially if traveling by train. Great hotel and restaurants, Thursday market is fun, the Tourist information office staff is so nice and helpful…and a church built under an order by the father of William the conqueror - how can you best that. It is walkable from Pontorson to Le Mont - there’s a beautiful path about 10 km long and can take the bus back for €4 so you don’t have to walk back. Simply charming town and lots of history and nice people ;). Mk

Pontorson is a very nice town well located for Mont St Michel. It has everything you might want during a short stay: two supermarkets, plenty of restaurants for a town of its size, a wonderful wine shop, two patisseries and a thriving Wednesday morning market. The locals are friendly and will not be put out if your French is not great. We spent a lot of time at the Mont and only travelled to Rennes where we had a very enjoyable evening in a bistro / bar. Pontorson is quiet but has charm. I would recommend the coquilles Saint-Jacques (scallops) at Le Brassa.

Great location for visiting Mont Saint Michel. Easy walking distance to shops and cafés in Pontorson. Really lovely rooms, clean and well furnished. Hosts were really welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, great selection of foods and drinks available, and the freshly cooked crêpes were absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend!

The location is good to access mont saint michel even without a car. there are shuttles from pontorson to mont saint michel at certain hours of the day, and this hotel is walking distance (13 mins) to the train gare (where also shuttle to mont saint michel departs.) The personel is very helpful, and friendly.

Hôtel Ariane & SPA is a clean and comfortable hotel nicely located with respect to the main street of Pontorson. Many restaurants, cafes and shops are within short walking distances. The staff were friendly and helpful, and street parking was rather easy and convenient to the hotel.

The location is very convenient as you can combine a visit to Mont Saint Michel with saint Malo and its surroundings. The owners are great. The place is super clean, the breakfast is really nice and made with care. Would recommend and definitely come back
