Guy and Eleanor are exceptional hosts. We had dinner with them and despite the language barrier we had a lovely time. We learned so much about the local cuisine. We loved meeting the dog and cats since we were missing our own. They provided water which was much appreciated. Lots of good advice on where to go and what to see as well. Oh, and breakfast was amazing too! We left well fed and well rested. ❣️

The architecture of the building was what first drew us in but the warmth of our host will keep us coming back. The rooms are huge and luxurious as well as completely renovated and sparkling clean! The accommodations are only surpassed by the food. I highly recommended having dinner here, we dined two nights in a row because everything was made with local ingredients and by a highly skilled cook. We consider ourselves foodies and love to go to restaurants but after one meal here we came back for another. The breakfast was also sensational and the hosts went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. It was a real highlight of many years travel in this region!
