We stayed for one night on the way back from the Dordogne so we could visit La-Charite-sur-Loire (beautiful name, beautiful place!). We chose Christophe's place because it was nearby, had secure parking, included a (contintental) breakfast, and all for a very good price. The facilities in the room were also good (e.g. microwave, kettle, small table and chairs) and Christophe kindly offered us plates and cutlery. Everything was very clean and the area was very quiet.

Hotel le Bon Laboureur is located in La Charité, on an island bordered by the River Loire and a 5-minute walk from the town center.

Wonderful room on the courtyard, helpful, friendly proprietors, stunning location, great breakfast and picnic to go. Excellent bike storage.

Beautiful in every aspect.! Where can you still find a personalized place with each room thoughtfully ( and in this case, with literary knowledge) decorated with its own theme? Anyone, who has even a hint of interest in individualism will love this place and also the incredible town. Very clean and inviting!

This hotel was was tucked away in the old quarter and was very comfortable. The host was very hospitable and organized it so that I could park inside the property as I had 2 bikes on my car. Breakfast was excellent and then a short walk around a the town before moving on was easy as we were so close to the centre.

Chambre d'hôtes "Au bord de Loire" enjoys a location in La Marche, 25 miles from Magny-Cours Circuit and 13 miles from Nevers Cathedral.
