We stayed here for one night as a place to sleep whilst on a long car journey and we're glad we did. We arrived late at night and had a friendly welcome from the host, who helped carry our bags to the room. It room was clean and comfortable and just what we needed after a long drive. The shower was good. Breakfast was nicely presented and delicious. The host is very talkative - he speaks French and we didn't know much of the language and spoke English. But that was no problem at all - it was fun communicating, with the help of Google Translate! If we were ever in the area again we would definitely stay here.

Rémilly is a good base to explore the east of France.

Rémilly is a good base to explore the east of France. The trains to Metz, Nancy and Strasbourg are comparatively cheap, clean and spacious. You're not far from the German border, I visited both Germany and Luxembourg while I was there. The town has an Aldi and a Super-U, a couple of take-away food shops and a couple of restaurants. There's not a lot there, but it's a good base.
