This B&B is a remarkable find. The charming grounds, very helpful welcoming hosts, high quality rooms and food, quiet and clean. One of the best places we have ever stayed and truly a pleasure. Everything is charming, welcoming, incredibly clean and scenic. We were truly spoiled during our time there. The facilities like the showers, beds, breakfasts are very high quality plus the bar with a ghuge range of drinks and a superb view adds as well.

We were the first people to stay at this new gite in La...

We were the first people to stay at this new gite in La Creuse. It is situated in a small hamlet not far from Evaux-le-Bains and is very peaceful. You definitely need a car. The accommodation was very clean, and everything was brand new. Neil and Penny, the owners, live on site and could not have been more helpful. The pool was a real bonus and even has a counter current device which you can swim against. We ate at some good restaurants (Auberge Moulin Chancelier near Chambon-sur-Vouieze, Chez Armand in Aubusson and Brasserie de la Gare, Montlucon were our favourites) and visited some interesting towns in the area - Aubusson, Montlucon, Evaux-les-Bains. The market at Fellitin on Fridays is very good, with lots of stalls in the streets in the centre of the town - cheese, olives, fruit and veg, clothing, soaps etc. There are supermarkets nearby in Evaux-le-Bains and Chambon-sur-Voueize. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
